Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
March 11, 2010 - submitted by David, Colombia Q. Hi Oracle! Can you please give us the names of the members of Bat for Lashes? It's a very nice band and very nice girls!! Thanks for coming to Colombia it was a dream come true!!! The Oracle replies: Has no-one noticed that there is also a boy? We were laughing about that the other night as everyone always refers to Bat for Lashes as "the girls". Natasha (vocals) is Bat for Lashes and there have been different musicians over the years who perform with her as part of the band. This current line-up is Charlotte (guitar), Valentina (drums) and Ben (keys/marxophone etc.). __________________________________________ March 11, 2010 - submitted by Esteban, Argentina Q. Hi Oracle! This is related to the shows in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico... I want to know if during Don Quixote the band made the audience sing "Oleee ole-ole-ole, Coldplay, Coldplay" as in Argentina. Thanks!!! The Oracle replies: It was actually the fans who changed the words of the last oles of Spanish Rain (also known as Don Quixote) to Coldplay. Word travels fast and there was no need to ask the audience to sing along as they were already chanting that refrain before the band took to the stage. They also sang it in between songs if there was a spare second. After the first show in Buenos Aires fans have even been singing it outside the hotels; I could hear them from my room! back ____________________________________________ March 11, 2010 - submitted by Fernando, Mexico Q. Dear Oracle... will there be any surprises on the Monterrey Viva gig this Thursday, since it is the last show of the tour? How are the guys taking it? The Oracle replies: There has been talk of this over breakfast. It remains to be seen but we haven't long to wait. No doubt both Roadie #42 and myself will report any special occurrences at the very last Viva show... which reminds me, no-one has mentioned that Chris launched into Parachutes in Guadalajara which was an unexpected delight.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
March 11, 2010 - submitted by AlejandRa, Mexico Q. First, I must say the show in Mexico city was the best thing ever... I'm walkin' on a dream, I really love you guys. and more than a question I wanna say thank you, because your music for me is the best, it makes me feel, COLDPLAY! is my favorite band since many years. So many people thinks bad things about Mexicans and that we are the worst, but you said you really love Mexico, so why? What is the thing you most like about it? Or what do you like about this country?? The Oracle replies: I have to say that it's not just Mexico but everywhere on the Latin American tour the fans have been amazing. All the people we have met are so lovely and made us all feel very welcome. Mexico has been so much fun and the Guadalajara crowd were quite possibly the loudest yet even though the venue capacity was the smallest of the tour. Here in Mexico we have enjoyed the hospitality of the people, the food, the climate, the fans and of course the tequila! Tomorrow's final show is hopefully going to be the best night ever as we say our goodbyes.

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
March 8, 2010 - submitted by Vianihuini, Mexico Q. The concert was really awesome! I'm deeply moved for this life experience! Love u guys!!! My question: it was something crazy to see loads of people selling illegally thing about Coldplay, so what do you think about the informal sale outside the concert? The Oracle replies: The band saw that last time they were here in Mexico but everyone else was absolutely blown away by the huge Coldplay market as I called it. So many stalls selling bootleg merchandise and there was even one stall totally dedicated to Roadie #42! We all understand the trade of illegal items in such places and it happens for every touring band. There are funny stories of the 'swag'... I saw one t-shirt that had lyrics printed on the front that made no sense whatsoever; last time the tour stopped in Mexico, Bash - drum tech - bought a lighter with a Coldplay sticker on the front. When he peeled it off there was an AC/DC one underneath! Finally, the band's favourite example of inaccurate merch was when there was a t-shirt that said 'Coldplay' on the front but had a picture of Travis!

Yeah that seems the camera for the videoscreens, if they really wanted to film for a DVD they would have had big cranes, like they had in Barcelona, but Pris said there aren't  Someone told me where he's staying so I better have my eyes wide open going around :P I love U2:3D, it was the first movie ever I saw in 3D and it was beyond awesome  Ahaha not really, I couldn't care less about her or Brad Pitt, who is in town too
