Complete Festival Guide for 2010
Aerosmith are playing because they were supposed to play there 3 years ago, tough the festival was cancelled after the first day because of a heavy thunderstorm which made the speakers towers collapse and broke many cables holding the main stage...that same day Pearl Jam had to play and now they're back as well, they both kept their promise :nice:

Stripped Performances?
Well there's Strawberry Swing without intro and outro here, I'm sure if you ask there someone will help you. There' s no need in opening a new thread in the general Coldplay section for these matters, multimedia is there for a reason

Guy to co-produce The Pierces' new album
Michael Brauer tweeted more in the past days "just finishing up mixing the Pierces. Wow,that was so much fun. Rik&Guy did an amazing job producing the record. this is a great record!!!" ..but I seriously can't understand the terms he uses in the following...anyone able to clarify? :uhoh: "i changed st buss compressors several times over the course of the Pierces, it always amazes me how it changes the feel...I can change the way the listener moves. One compressor has Guy grooving up and down while listening and the other has him going forward...which way is best for the song? bounce or not..shadow made him bounce, 670 made him groove in half time. we went with the shadow feel"

U2
My Artificial Horizon arrived today, and it's gonna remain sealed, I'm not really a fan of remixes  Anyway, they announced the supporters for the EU shows, and we have Kasabian in Turin and Interpol in Rome...I'm not a big fan of either, I know only a bit about them but that is enough to know I would have enjoyed Snow Patrol much more, they were really great last year :nice:

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Me neither, I mean, isn't Guy prononuced Gee a french name, like Guy de Maupassant? I don't even like it prononuced it as Gee

I'm not fond of remixes but the two I know for sure as official are Talk (Thin White Duke Remix) and Viva la Vida (Thin White Duke Remix). I'm sure someone else will help you in a far better way though :)

I must be really unlucky and always try to read the board when it's not working then  Oh and no sign of the bundle here as well, and it's more than a week since it was shipped....from the UK :dozey: I guess this time it's not fault of our mail system

Coldplay in Beijing, October 2010
Yeah I love the Chinese Viva la Vida with the poster and the cards, and cds are so cheap there (even tough they used to be even cheaper three years ago when I went there for the first time), I always come home with a handful of them, and I guess it's gonna be the same this time around :D Oh and thanks for explaining the reason why Spies is not, let's say, welcome in China :)

Coldplay in Beijing, October 2010
I never read anything official about this, I only know it's not in the Chinese version of Parachutes, which is kinda strange and probably led people to believe it was sort of banned, but yeah, I don't get the reason either to be honest

Apparatjik
Did you find out what was the problem? The board has been down a lot of times lately, or it gets really slow :disappointed:

Coldplay in Beijing, October 2010
No, they just put Careful Where You Stand instead of Spies on Parachutes, you can find all their other albums without problem there :) This show was originally scheduled for April 17, and I was really hoping it could happen since I'm going to Beijing those days, but yeah, it's a list of target artists and if the band wants to have the album out before the end of the year I highly doubt they will play there, it would be too much stress just to play 2-3 songs

Guy to co-produce The Pierces' new album
There is hardly any news on this, not even the album title, but it seems that Guy is co-producing The Pierces' new album with Rick Simpson, and Michael Brauer (who mixed Viva la Vida) is mixing it. He was also the one to reveal Guy's involvement with a tweet yesterday. "Mixing the upcoming Pierces record. Guy Berryman(coldplay) & Rik Simpson(CP engineer) producing. Songs r great!!" Though searching around also BJ Cole, a pedal steel guitarist, wrote this in his website: "..as well as artists with a more straight ahead pop sensibility such as RHYS WILLIAMS and The PIERCES. The latter being two glamorous and talented young ladies from the USA who's new album is being co produced by GUY BERRYMAN of COLDPLAY at the group's studio in London." The Pierces are two sisters from Alabama, and the new album is gonna be their fourth. These are their myspace page and official website. I have no idea how this project came about, but I think Albert Hammond Jr. could have had a role since he once dated one of the sisters :P Hopefully we will find more news in the future :)

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
Damn you Guy, I really hope he won't get his way with the others  As for the comment about Guinness I completely agree with the Oracle, once you drink it in Ireland it's never gonna be the same again :D March 18, 2010 - submitted by Nina, Netherlands Q. Dear Oracle, How are you? I hope you're not too tired :) I was wondering will the timeline be updated soon? Lots of love, Nina The Oracle replies: I'm good thanks for asking but jet lag sucks! I am still incredibly tired - just can't seem to get the hang of the sleep thing. Anyway, we are certainly considering updating the timeline so hopefully we will get around to making it an active feature once more. ________________________________________ March 18, 2010 - submitted by Lucas, United Kingdom Q. Any news on Matt McGinn's Roadie book? The Oracle replies: Funny you should mention that because Matt sent me a photo yesterday of him with his very own copy of said book! The book is set to hit the shops on May 17th weather permitting.
