you know what? that's pretty much exactly how i felt after seeing them in a huge amphitheatre thing. they're just not cut out for it. places like that were built for fucking Aerosmith and U2 and shit. i guess i should consider myself extremely lucky to have seen coldplay twice in very small venues. (and once before most americans had a damn clue who they were)

these albums have been stuck in my player constantly lately: Kraftwerk - Autobahn Fly Pan Am - self titled U2 - War Mogwai - My Father My King A Silver Mt. Zion - He Has Left Us But Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms. this happens to be the fucking saddest hour of music ever made. i love it. for whatever reason i find that the only music that interests me lately is either "post-rock" (i hate the term but i don't know how else to describe it) or electronic music. which leaves U2 still to be explained on my list...

oh yes it does. ah christ. well if there's one thing i've learned tonight, it's that if you're feeling down because your relationship of the past 22 months has effectively ended, lots of alchohol does not make you feel any better. ok it seriously took me like 5 minutes to make sure that last sentence made sense. that, combined with the fact that i fell flat on my face after trying to stop to read a poster in the hall way on the way upstairs from the bathroom, suggests that i should go to bed. but i had a lot of coffee so i don't see that happening just yet. so you all here get to see me act really pathetic and stupid. so what's up?>

i think that a majority of us would probably agree that radiohead are better than coldplay. i know the reason i'm here, and not at a radiohead board somewhere (even though radiohead is my favorite band), is because people here are all really nice, while a large number of radiohead fans tend to be obnoxious snobs. that, and i really do like coldplay, enough to have seen them live three times (once more than i've seen radiohead, i should add)
