  1. This thread gets more and more ridiculous every time I come back here. Silly Nittany Lion, if only you realized that if you just ignored him Eric would go away.
  2. I have no idea what that tangent about hip hop was supposed to mean, but there's the obvious statement of the day at the end. Of course it all comes down to opinion, that's pretty much the second part of what I was suggesting by saying that chart success means nothing (the first being that artists can sell millions of albums and still be widely disliked). If every other person in the world owned the Keane album and loved it, that wouldn't change my opinion that Keane are boring and derivative. And the people who do own and love it probably couldn't care less if they're beating Morrissey in the charts or not. :D
  3. Yeah, well Adolf Hitler is a legend too. :dozey:
  4. I happen to like Mum, Mogwai, and Grandaddy. So bite me. :P Rush, 311, and Pretty Girls Make Graves I agree with though. And John Kerry sucks, but not as much as the main alternative.
  5. Two words: "Spice Girls" (chart success means nothing :D )
  6. John Lennon - "Mother"
  7. I still can't get over the mandatory military service for Israelis. :stunned: Good luck. :D
  8. Well, for some people, records are an outdated and useless format, much like the cassette tape. :P I cleaned out about 300 records from my parents' basement awhile ago, now they're all taking up space in my room where they are actually used every now and then. :smug:
  9. If I talked about all the things my father has done to my mom and my siblings and me over the years, it would be too uncomfortable for all of us. :dozey: So I'll just leave it at that. :P
  10. Ugh... people like Alberto really destroy my faith in humanity.
  11. I usually get my coffee-related products from a place that isn't so horrendously overpriced. :P
  12. You take some comfort in the fact that you're probably not the only person who was fooled. :) (hell, the governor of New Jersey is resigning because he's been lying about his sexuality and has had an affair with a man in his administration, and he's married with kids!)
  13. I'm serious. How many times have you seen people come into a thread here and say the EXACT SAME THING that has been said 20 times already? This is my way of venting my frustration with that instead of making snide remarks about it in 30 different threads or something. :P
  14. ...where everybody puts in their two cents and nobody takes any of it.
  15. Yep. I counter your random lyrics with my own. :P I'm sorry, I'll see myself out now.
  16. New song?! She's got a new album coming out in a couple of weeks. :D
  17. That one doesn't seem to work. :inquisitive:
  18. Liv Tyler please marry me! *swoons*
  19. Brief detour from the subject: who walked with the American flag tonight? Dawn Staley! A Philadelphian! WOOOO!!!! Anyway, what did Bjork do?
  20. I'm going to bring my cynicism in here for a moment. :P So who else thinks that the Olympics are an gigantic waste of time and money for the host city? All I've been hearing for two weeks is how woefully unprepared Athens is for the Olympics. Now they've spent seven years and billions of dollars on them, and in 16 days all they'll be left with is a bunch of unfinished sports venues and a colony of empty condos at the edge of town. :/ I'm just saying. :uhoh2:
