Random Coldplay thoughts...
Went to bed after Austin City Limits last night. Woke up this morning, changed some channels and Coldplay Glastonbury was on. Watched CP videos on Youtube most of the afternoon. Tuned in to see ACL again tonight. I love those boys.

Favorite Coldplay song, and why?
I'll say Warning Sign. Listening to it on a good soundsystem (or my car!) always brings out the excellent musicianship, each and every instrument is amazing, Chris sings it perfectly, of course. It's just a really beautiful song.

You know you're addicted to Coldplay when...
When you look forward to receiving a Christmas message from the band, and in the meantime, you can't get their version of "Last Christmas" out of your head!

I really miss this band :(
He likes the song Speed of Sound, he doesn' t like the way they played it. Felt they could have done better. Wish he'd change his mind on Warning Sign--it's one of my all time fave songs!

Coldplay Workout Playlist
I have about 98% of Coldplay songs on my iPod and I walk when I am at work (on break!). I find MOST Coldplay songs work. HLH and Lovers in Japan are two great ones, as some have said.

Coldplay now a pop group?
Coldplay has won two Alternative Album Grammys They won Best Rock Album for Viva La Vida Itunes classifies MX as pop Meaning, I think the cross over genres and don't stick to one or the other, they just play what they want.

Guess the song!

The Graham Norton Show
Not sure why he was so upset with himself--the interview was perfectly lovely! Very funny, loved the Welsh stuff and Graham Norton was a gentleman (I'd wondered if he'd riled Chris up). Does anybody know if Paradise was lip synced? It sounded too perfect, or, is that just Coldplay (of course?)

The Graham Norton Show
I've noticed this over and over on some of the boards that I frequent. It's like, "oh yeah, he's charming! I thought he was a douche!" If they only knew....is this from avoiding questions about Gwyneth, do you think?

The Graham Norton Show
I checked my BBC America for tonight's schedule, and they are showing movies all night long. There were two older eps of GNS on this morning and that was it. Strange.

Good reason to save my vacation time and take a couple of days off.

Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris
What is that little squat thing Chris is doing? Who is that blonde lady!?

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (performance of Charlie Brown embedded in first post)
Was there any more to the interview that we didn't see? Or do they show the entire thing without editing?

Late Night With Jimmy Fallon (performance of Charlie Brown embedded in first post)
Does that mean you were there for the interview?

Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris
Wow, that was fast! You guys are pros.

Yellow Live
I like that it's different. It keeps it fresh. I noticed it first on the 2008 SNL appearance, it seems "janglier" now, if that's a word. I really love that they change their songs up. The techno version of GPASOYF is a godsend.

Post pictures of the gorgeous Chris
Does anybody have the pics of Chris alone at the mike --white background, he's wearing Viva clothes, it's a posed pic?

Gwyneth...
I can't either, but she looks supercool. Whole outfit rocks.

How much of it are they faking live?
Thank you. Super helpful. I think a lot of us like more complex sounds, and Coldplay are certainly known for the depth of their sound. The more complex the songs, the more backtracking we may hear. I was listening to Warning Sign this morning (album version) and there is a lot going on in that song! I've always thought of them as supertalents who can play any song any way they want.

Coldplay nominated for 3 Grammy Awards // Paradise to feature on 2012 Grammy Nominees Album (pg.5)
Glad to see them nominated for something. Here's my theory: The Grammys love women artists, they'll give every Grammy they have to Adele. Just like for Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, Norah Jones, Taylor Swift, etc. I'm glad MX will not be going against Adele's album. It would have lost. Next year, when MX is eligible, I fancy they'll give Album of the Year to Coldplay, since they lost (tragically, I think) in 2009 to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss of all people (part oldy but goody and part female artist, Grammy loves both of those). It will be like when U2 won for some crappy, unmemorable album when it lost the album prior to that, which is should have won for. I can make a flow chart if anyone needs one!
