Hey Everyone! So I did win the Instagram contest! I'm going to see Coldplay next Saturday!!! I am so beyond excited! I actually won yesterday but KIIS fm asked me not to post publicly until after they announced the 2nd winner, which they just did. Yes, I know I'm INCREDIBLY lucky. Dammit. Jonny told me to call in and I did, and it rang and rang and rang, but no one answered the damn phone. Guess I'll wait until 2 for someone else to tell me to call in.

They've actually done several private shows. 1iota is the ticketing group that handles Jimmy Kimmel and several other LA based tv shows. I think the fb post only went out to CA residents, because you have to be a CA resident to win/attend. I'm wait listed for both shows, and kicking myself that I didn't see Coldplay's post until an hour after it was posted.

Ha. That's what we did. We made friends with the ticket taker/doorman and 5 minutes before Showtime, he called someone over who had a stack of tickets and handed them to the 5 of us. I practically burst into tears. My husband and I had come from CA for the Festival and getting these ACL Taping tickets just iced the cake. It's a pretty small theater. I was there 2 years ago for the ACL tapings, both for Coldplay and Arcade Fire. Not a bad seat in the place. Good luck!

Well. I love Magic. So excited to hear the rest of the album. Even if it is only 9 songs. But look at the length of the songs…the ones up on iTunes so far are all 4:45. Coldplay has always said they don't like going over 45 minutes for an album. These individual songs are longer than what we're used to.

Oh my god, yes! When I met him last year, and we were face to face, even though there were a few others with us, it's like it's only you and him, and no one else. His eyes are SO freaking intense, it's almost un-nerving and you want to look away but you just can't because his eyes suck you in, and are like lasers burning into you. Even though he may have a thousand other things on his mind, for those few moments, he's totally focused on you. And his hands - they are enormous and so so soft, and he smells good too. Congrats on meeting them :)

You know, there's a podcast of the whole show that I'm glad I saved - it's not available any longer. I wish I could have watched it again on the computer... It's kind of funny how many bizarre encounters I've had with Chris over the years.

Oh that was awful. I totally drew a blank on that but I ended up wining by being called 20 later that week. The Red Bull show was just surreal - that's where my pic with Will came from and where Bean publicly accused me of illegally downloading Charlie Brown before it was released! I had to answer to Chris. Haha

Oh, these smaller promotional shows are the best. I hope I'm as lucky on the next tour as I was for MX, being able to see many shows like this!

I think it's ridiculous that the videographer is following them ON FOOT in the middle of the street in that traffic. Did you hear Chris honk at him? But Gwyneth should be paying better attention to her surroundings.

I know people go more than the ones who post here. I still think if it bothered the band, they wouldn't be so "public" about their coming and going. They've been doing this long enough to know that they're in high demand and I think if they had a problem with fans waiting, they'd do things differently. Isnt that one of the reasons we love them so much so because of their accessibility and unpretentiousness. They've always said they have "the best fans in the world." And if "stalkers" were an issue, I'm sure their security would handle it.

People calm down about bothering the band. We see/hear about people who are meeting the band, what, like maybe once or twice a week? It's not like there are throngs of fans causing a mob scene. The boys come and go as they please and if a fan or two are waiting for them, I just don't see the issue. If the boys are too busy to stop, I'm sure they would just cut a photo or autograph session short. It's all part of the job and I bet they are happy that fans want to make the effort to come sit outside the B & B for hours.

I'm a 47 year old mother of 4, and I am a huge Coldplay fan. While I have some beliefs that some consider liberal, I'm about as far from being a "hippie" as you can get. My husband and my 2 still-teenage children are also huge Coldplay fans and they definitely do not use drugs. I don't think it's fair or correct to generalize or label Coldplay fans, or any other music fans, in any case.
