We heard a bit of DAAHF sound checked a couple of months ago at Nokia. Guess we'll know what they have planned for us in 2 days - although that Edmonton thread is pretty dead. Hopefully we will get some reports, or maybe not...maybe I'll want to be surprised for the LA shows. But then again, I can't NOT check. Sixteen Days for me.

Hey, have fun at Coachella this weekend. Never fails for me, it always falls on a bad weekend for me - kids, and husband and school and kid's sports always gets in the way. Hope the rain isnt too bad on Friday...

Sold out now. I was incredibly lucky to get a single Orchestra seat, but so sad I won't be able to sit with Lauren. It was impossible to get 2 tickets together. I hate the stress of buying tickets!

No presale. Just regular sale but you need the password which is in your email. Are you for sure going to try for tickets? Two other girls and I want to go. Might be easier to get 2 and 2 of you're going alone? And the $150 ($177) tickets are pit according to the KROQ message board. But the pit there is tiny.

I like Garbage and Incubus, and I'm liking Grouplove, Of Monsters and Men and Angels & Airwaves, too. Plus it's only 10 minutes from my house :) We'll see what happens on Thursday...Since I'm not going to HB on May 4 :(

We are going to two shows at the Hollywood Bowl. Our plan is to park at the lot at Hollywood and Highland, by the Kodak Theater, and just walk to the Hollywood Bowl. It's less than a mile.

Coldplayfan1239, Ellen is awesome and I have been so fortunate to have been to her show twice this year. I was so incredibly lucky both times, once was for Coldplay's performance and the other was for one of her 12 Days of Giveaways. She is an amazing woman, generous beyond belief and out to really make a difference in the world. Did you see her segment on yesterday's show with Brad Pitt, walking around the Lower 9th Ward in New Orleans, to see how Brad Pitt is trying to make a difference in helping to raise awareness and support to rebuild homes in the Lower 9th? She helps many, many fans of her shows who have fallen on very hard times, widows or widowers, single moms (and dads) trying to do their best for their families, military families, families who have lost their homes, people who have sacrificed for the sake of others, underprivileged children, schools who desperately need books and school supplies, etc. But then she has also chosen some people just for the sake of making someone happy. I do know she gets thousands of requests for help/tickets/gifts, etc. She tries to help those who give back, though. And sorry for being blunt, but just because you are asking for tickets to surprise your friend, you don't really have a compelling story. Like others have said, you could try to get a job or do small jobs to save up money. I saved for months to buy our tickets to one of the shows we are going to in May, because as much as I love Coldplay, attending concerts is really a luxury. I do wish you good luck in your quest for free tickets, though.

I hope the Oracle can help, I'm probably panicking too soon, but I bought tickets from ticket master for the June Coldplay gig at the Emirates, and haven't had the tickets yet. Has anyone else? I will be completely gutted if something has gone wrong. The Oracle replies: I have no idea if anyone else has got their tickets yet but rest assured yours are not late according to the event info so you can stop panicking. Ticketmaster do state on their website that "tickets for this event are provided directly by the promoter and not printed by Ticketmaster and may not be despatched until ten days before the event".

Please don't start up with the "Coldplay dont play in UK enough" complaint again. How many shows did they play in the UK/Europe last year? Festivals and the December arena tour? Over 20, I think. How many US shows did they do? 3 festivals, one benefit concert and one tv show concert (ACL taping to a very small audience).
