this sounds perfect to me! :D i think we just have yet to set a final STOP MAILING date in stone, whicih i assume will be in mid-late december, and then in early-mid january, you can pay them a visit with the cards whenever fits your schedules. we can't thank you enough for everything, debs :nice: ok, lore, when do we think the final mailing date should be? :D

that's awesome! :cheesy: i think, even though i rather send the obama card i posted a few pages previously, i'll have to send the bush one. the obama one never printed properly, in quality or on the right paper or in the exact right size, so it just looks so much less professional than the bush one, which i printed long before my printer decided to go crazy. i like the look of that one better, if not the mood/message :\ i'm sending everything off tomorrow! i just finished writing out my postcards on the templates :D

Coldplay Quotes
and yes, you're right, i somehow forgot :disappointed: i think that last line can be some sort of metaphor for life, if you think about it: "There are good days and not so good days, you know? But, the thing is...I got to have a ride in a fire engine. How cool is that?" :P

Ive never known that there is another site style than the coldplaying one
i will pretty much never be able to use anything other than "coldplaying" style. everything else just looks...wrong  i think i could get used to "dark" if i had to, though.

Viva La Vida(album)= Prospekt's Adventures??
i've never been one for concept, story-albums really, or songs about made-up characters in general, but the song "prospekt's march" did intrigue me. i think that the idea must originally have been to make the entire album about prospekt and his adventures, but it just didn't work out that way--i think the guys have a bit more work to do before they can pull off something like that. at any rate, i'd really like to hear chris's original plan for the odysseus-like prospekt :D (and i can't spell oddysseus for the life of me :\)

Coldplay Quotes
CHRIS: “Last year, in an attempt to impress my family I tried to cook some fish and peas, but I forgot to turn on the vent. And the thing about our fire alarm is that it's connected to the fire station. So the fire engine comes around, and I was in a panic. I said, ‘Guys, I'm sorry. There's no fire'. Then, two months later, I said, ‘Right - I'm gonna have another crack at this' - and the same thing happened. Just as I'm running outside, the fire engine pulls up and the fireman says: ‘Have you been cooking again, Chris?' So then I had to take a walk because I was a bit shaky. As it happened, the fire engine was going the same way, and they said, ‘Do you want a lift?'”

Chris Martin on Coldplay's success and celebrity
“Last year, in an attempt to impress my family I tried to cook some fish and peas, but I forgot to turn on the vent. And the thing about our fire alarm is that it's connected to the fire station. So the fire engine comes around, and I was in a panic. I said, ‘Guys, I'm sorry. There's no fire'. As it happened, the fire engine was going the same way, and they said, ‘Do you want a lift?'” best thing EVER. and it backs up something will said years ago: "He [Chris] should learn to cook. He has two meals in his repertoire - Both highly dangerous..."

Gwyneth...
i don't believe it, really. i think they'll forever bounce between london and new york, with pit stops around the world. but, if by some off-chance this is true... *LOOK FOR HOUSES IN WESTERN CONNECTICUT, CHRIS AND GWYNETH* :sneaky: the houses are beautiful, the location is great, and the private schools are fantastic! :P and you could better hide from the paps in the fields and forests of CT :D oh, and you could hire a local, experienced, world class nanny! :sneaky: :P

Ask the Oracle on Coldplay.com (Now in session!)
he played "hockey" at uni, i think he was the captain of some sort of intramural team :D (bear in mind the term "hockey" in the UK automatically means what we call FIELD hockey...but it's close!)

sounds good to me :D for some reason, i've been kind of convinced recently that like 80% of the 180-something people that said they WOULD send a card in the poll won't actually get around to doing it at all :\

 you guys are too much :nice: i mean shortly before or shortly after new year's...i know debs said it was up to us, but i think that the EXACT date would have to be determined by her and her schedule, like when she's able to SEE the guys to actually give the cards to them. we can't really say "deliver them to the guys on december 29, please" because what if she has a dentist appointment or chris has to take apple to the doctor, or the guys are planning a mini christmas gathering at the bakery or something? i say we give her a general timeframe like "a few days before or after new year's" to make it realistic and easier on everyone

  ok, so i guess we should ask more people what they think about those dates? coldplayers, what do you think?

i agree :D. anyway, people still receive christmas/holiday cards around new year's. i say make the deadline for sending like, december 22 and ask debs if she can give the cards to the guys around new year's, but that's just me

download the image, and when you print it (using a program such as windows picture and fax viewer on PCs), select "fit photo to frame" or other similar option and the template will print on the size paper you have your printer set to print on :D. i printed them out this way, and they look FABULOUS  i thought we wanted to have them given to the boys a bit before/at christmas, approximately? i actually like the idea of actually handing over the cards in early or mid january, but what does everyone else think about them being non-holiday cards? i just thought that was part of the plan :P thanks again, debs :nice:. you're completely awesome.
