sarah, i especially love your framed coldplay collage things, with the butterfies and the setlists and the photos. question, though: where the hell did you get that greeny flower-drawing coldplay sign? i've never seen anything like it before! and i know vaguely where SUNY genesco is; i'm from western connecticut originally, and a lot of my friends go to the SUNY schools. i don't know anyone at genesco, though.

my brother's love for coldplay, found in the last year, still cracks me up. of course i love it, but it still disorients me when he wants to have coldplay conversations :freak: this was our MSN conversation: BROTHER: what do you think the best live song is? i go to dickinson in PA. but i love your dorm room way more! your walls are AWESOME (office + coldplay? two of my favorite things!), and the room itself is one of the nicest i've seen. where do you go? i might have to transfer just for their dorms :P

ahh, in the old thread i posted pictures of my dorm room last year, but i'll post pictures of my dorm room this year in this one :D the lighting is rather awful though. i probably should have used the flash. my side is on the left. i quite like our room; it's rather long and biggish. my desk area. i'll take more close ups of the posters tomorrow. from the bed area, looking back on the desk area. my bed area, though now a) someone stole my pillowcase, so i don't have it anymore, and b) i have a big tapestry that i hang down from the sloped ceiling sometimes to make a cave :D cloooset. roommate's desk, with shared minifridge and microwave my bed, which i love. my animals live there too :nice:

waiiiiit, why were they in lancaster? i assume that they mean lancaster, PA. that's like 20 mins away from here; i was there on sunday. but what the hell would they be doing there? is there a lancaster in england i should know about?

yeah, i've heard of the borrowing thing and that crossed my mind. hope its that. she could spend the money better on her kids anyway :P

fricking hell. even if you can afford it, i don't see why anyone would want to spend THAT much on shoes. if i was as rich as gwyneth, i might go to like $5000 for some i really like, but $30,000? that's a CAR, not a pair of heels. on a different note, i hope she keeps her hair short like this for a long time. i particularly love it the times its been curly/wavy.

the guys that live across the hall from me must just have gotten VLVOD, because now they've been blasting "lost!". i love when people discover coldplay :nice:

if andy samberg and bill hader do "LASER CATS IV" with chris and/or the guys as the villains, i think i would die of happiness. i pretty much wet myself at laser cats II with jake gyllenhaal, but this would be even better. i just want them to do A skit.

if she started blogging about the kids and chris, well. i think that would sadly be something i got addicted to very quickly :uhoh:

in my american studies class, we were discussing dominant, alternative, and oppositional forces in society by using musicians and music groups as examples. john mayer was dominant, pearl jam was alternative (specific themes in the music that not everyone relates to, vaguely political but still on a major label etc), and i suggested radiohead as oppositional, mainly because of the whole in rainbows release and their political lyrics etc etc. but my teacher claims they're not political enough to be considered oppositional. put on the spot like that, i couldn't come up with any good examples (where is my radiohead book of scholarly articles when i need it?), but i still maintain that my professor was wrong. i think radiohead are pretty political/comment on society a lot, or at least more than most groups. am i completely wrong?

hahaha! i won't get into why that's not a good idea, but these two guys also turn their room into a disco basically every friday and saturday night, so if they start playing coldplay, i might start stopping by :P

i was walking out of my room today in my hall when all of a sudden i froze because i heard those last few piano notes of "cemetaries of london." the guys that live across the hall from me then blasted "life in technicolor," which i thought was pretty great :D

i only found them recently myself, somewhere on here. i think the one that emma put in the first post is the best, though :nice:

will looks more likely to be able to kick ass, but guy has that sulky man-look about him sometimes, and i would say his fashion style has more testostorone in it :P
