  1. BTW, "es muy mal gusto" roughly translates to something like "it would be bad humor," meaning rude or bad taste :D
  2. ok, here's my best shot for now: Yes, this symbolizes in a certain way the happiness and the good energy for the union between two people who are loved. It is true that a material gift is not the most important thing, and the basic things are the spiritual giftsof company and support. [There is never other tangent sample of the fondness and good desires for the future marriage.] *this is a really hard sentence to deal with* A good wedding gift would be a clock in order to tell the minutes of happiness that the receiver would have in his or her life, as well as to never forget the time, past, present, and future. For this reason, one should also receive a clock after they are married, for the clock will mark and leave fingerprints of the passage of time. 2- The wedding guests should dress elegantly because the occasion deserves it. However, the guests' elegance should not exceed that of the newlyweds, for it is bad taste to take attention away from them and the sacred link they are about to enter. 3- Guests should not get drunk, laugh at or fight with another guest, or discuss others. It would be embarrassing and spoil the special day for the newlyweds. 4- Foreigners that marry Chileans should do the following: be polite with his or her partner's family, learn about the Chilean culture, respect the Chilean Culture (for if the wedding takes place in Chile, it must be under Chilean law and traditions), and both must reach an agreement in respecting and understanding one another's culture. Foreign men that marry Chilean women must not disregard Chilean traditions or try to impose foreign traditions on his partner. An agreement will result in fewer fights and disagreements about traditions and culture, and both partners should learn from each other in order to create a bond that even traditions and laws couldn't break. i need to go to bed now, but i can look again tomorrow :nice:
  3. its actually quite harder than i thought because the english is pretty awkward and broken, but i'll give it my best shot :D
  4. ooh this sounds like a job for me! i'm kind of a correcting freak. give me a bit of time and i'll do my best, but because i don't know the context or anything, it might not be perfect. i'll just correct any glaring errors and make it sound like natural english.
  5. hmm, there are similarities, but the handwriting isn't identical....:\
  6. i tend to find masks really creepy, but when it's as gorgy as this...i don't mind  i dont have anymore of my good thick paper here though :P
  7. are tonsils really that gross? :laugh4:
  8. i wish they could do this for every show! i've always loved the random candid photos best anyway, especially when they're being stupid, so this is amazing! EDIT: haha, thanks lore :P. a five-minute jobbie of my two favorite things: coldplay and barack obama!
  9. no member of coldplay should make me feel ill, but this comes close  :P = :nice:
  10. yeah, i thought i saw chavi too, but it only kind of looks like her. might see some later, though! :D
  11. they should start selling that shirt! :laugh1: argh, i have to leave for class in 15. it'll all be there when i get back, of course, but it's more fun to stalk!
  12. MUST. HAVE. THIS SHIRT. ooh this is getting cool!
  13. not that i know muse that well, but i find the new song reminds me a bit of muse. and i agree, even though i liked it on first listen, it's definitely a grower. i like it a lot more now than i did originally
  14. i have to say i agree *yesidowatchgossipgirlandhavenoideawhy* :uhoh: i think as his character gets more human, i like him more. and he's definitely interesting-looking, but in a more and more attractive way. i only noticed recently that he has a non-speaking role in children of men, one of my favorite movies, and he was also in son of rambow, which was adorable. i don't know if i've said this one before, but jim sturgess. i watched 21 and the other boleyn girl in one night this weekend and squeed the entire time.
  15. next time, make sure your milkshake wears its seatbelt. really, are you that irresponsible? :P glad you're ok, JD :D. i had a bit of an accident last year at christmas when i had stopped in traffic on the highway and the guy behind me didn't realize that traffic had stopped and plowed into the back of my car. it was rather weird because it took me a minute to realized i'd been hit, and two days or so to realize i hit my head :laugh4:. i also got shot at in a bus once at night in harlem, but after some quick investigation, we figured out they were just paintballs :dozey:.
  16. i have the red viva la vida one and now the pink heart one, but if they had come out with the white and black DAAHF one at the same time as the other two, i would have gotten that one without question! i like it because it's not so obviously a band t-shirt (not that i have any problem with band t-shirts :D), and it's kind of artsy. i plan on picking that one up when i see them in NJ  i'm just a band-tshirt whore :dozey:
  17. my mom told me over the phone last night that my coldplay shirt FINALLY arrived at home! i ordered it in freaking may, and it gets here in september, but whatever . it's the pink one with the heart  i do want the white one with the DAAHF lyrics on it too, though, which i plan to get at the first concert i go to :nice:
  18. oh MAN! i really hope that it is postcards from far away, and that it gets some really great lyrics! but did chris ever say that that's what it was? how do we know?
  19. now that i finally have it in my itunes thanks to lore, i'm quite obsessed with radiohead's "true love waits" currently
  20. the beatles sort of did this with every album from sgt. pepper on. or do you mean disappear permanently? i guess they did that too after abbey road, even though let it be was recorded first. seriously, though, by "end the decade," i really think chris means end the actual decace of 2000-2010. i don't think he means end the COLDPLAY decade (which will have been more than a decade by then anyway).
  21. chris likes to say things. even though i get worried about them on occasion, rarely do i believe them. i didn't really even believe that we'd get an EP in march, though, and now look! we're getting it in december! i just don't think that they'll officially call it quits, beatles-style. they might take a long break, which will be well-deserved at that point (two albums and an EP in two years!!), but i think in 5-7 years or so at most, they'll be back :D. i don't think they can stay away.
  22. i'm still bitter that he's not doing an american leg with coldplay :mean: :P
  23. i'm still bitter that he's not doing an american leg with coldplay :mean: :P
