  1. aww, lore, i love this idea :nice: the thing is, i just don't know if there's a feasible way to get them to them OTHER than mailing them to the address :uhoh:. none of us can ever be sure of meeting them, so it would just be a huge waste of postage to mail them to one person on the off-chance that they'd meet them. i think if we get enough coldplayers aware, we could get SO many postcards to the fanmail address that they'd realize that it was a mass-movement. do we have an exact number-address for the bakery, though? that might be better, but i don't think we're entirely sure of the address, exactly. i don't think it would even be on fleet road, since there's no door on that road, but on the adjacent road, where it would be harder to get the housenumber. i'll keep brainstorming, but i really think the most effective way would be to have THOUSANDS of us write to the fanmail address.
  2. most definitely coldplay this weekend :nice: i'm still reeling from the fact that it's an 8.5 track EP, especially because i was perfectly happy with it being 5 tracks.
  3. i'm kind of surprised that LIT II is the most-anticipated song. i would think that something that's 100% new rather than 50% new would be getting more excitement. interesting! :D i'm interested to see if "now my feet won't touch the ground" has anything to do with strawberry swing, too. and wasn't there a rumor around that "rainy day" had something to do with the first part of DAAHF?
  4. i voted for "rainy day" in the poll. i think it would be "glass of water," but now that we've heard it in *some* of its glory, i'm more anticipating the stuff we've never heard :D ditto for "prospekt's march/poppy fields," though. and basically everything :P
  5. i can't stop listening to the crappy version i now have on my ipod. i loooove it :bigcry:
  6. that makes me feel a bit better, then. but really, i should have suggested my idea to you. rotterdam is the ONE city in the world where i would have a heads-up on hotels which to stalk (not even a city in my own country!), and i didn't tell you guys that would be there.

  8. oh, i thought the hilton was nice  i KNOW the westin is, though! DAMN, i feel like a MORON for not PMing you guys

  10. CARLAAAAA i posted that i thought this in the first rotterdam thread in the live section! i figured it would either be the westin by centraal station (my first guess), or the hilton above the VVV on the weena, in front of the popenburg fountain. i'm not sure i know where hotel new york is, but the westin in the millenium tower was my number 1 guess! i should have PMed you directly rather than written in the thread...stupid me :embarassed:

  12. oooh yay! i hope someone's recording :D. or is this one of those things we can watch on that damn BBC player?

  14. YES, IT'S ALBERT HAMMOND JR. :cheesy: COLDPLAY PLAYING WITH A MEMBER OF THE STROKES?!?!?!?!?!?! YES PLEASE. i had a pretty crappy day today, and coldplay just made it better in the best way possible. if i ever meet any of them, i'm going to have to be physically restrained from hugging the crap out of them. why are they so good to us?! and i still maintain that us conspiracy-theorists from back in march and april saying that VLVOD would be a double album are an eensy bit right! :P
  15. THANK YOU, LORE!!!! OMFG. THIS SONG IS  i can't WAIT for this, seriously. and albert hammond jr's playing with them! :D
  16. but what the hell is lost +? is that the one with jay-z, do you think?
  17. OMFG :bomb: THIS IS INSANE. an 8.5 track EP is like getting another entire ALBUM!!! these guys are too good to us, i swear. i guess VLVOD is sort of a double-album after all :stunned: we were a tad bit right back in april, weren't we?!
  18. both the words trousers and pants make me laugh. trousers because it's always said in a british accent in my head, and pants because it's just a funny word anyway. in one of my classes, my teacher said that if he ever had a band, he'd call their first album men wear pants
  19. tooting broadway on the london tube, too. and tooting bee. i didn't know bees could toot.
  20. yes, i know...:P what are wispas?
  21. my favorite food is macaroni and cheese, bar none. i could eat good macaroni and cheese (with lots of really creamy sauce) for every meal, no question! then i would have to say pringles, pizza, enchiladas from my favorite resaurant, french fries (with cheese!), and peanut butter. but really, i just love all kinds of snack food :D i don't like pretty much anything healthy, namely anything green, but i ESPECIALLY hate pickles. ewwww... the typical food of my country is apple pie, fried chicken, hot dogs, the like. now i really want some good mac and cheese....
  22. ^ i did happen to discover that living in europe, wearing sweatpants or really anything less than jeans is quite unusual and on the verge of socially unacceptable. in america, i go out and run errands and go to class in PJ pants all the time. but one morning in holland i went to the supermarket around the corner in my pajamas to buy breakfast and i was getting the weirdest looks...and i never once saw a single person over the age of like, 6, wear sweatpants or PJ pants beyond their garden gates.
  23. i'm terrified of pretty much all forms of sea life, but mainly fish. i can deal with the pretty, colorful, tropical ones for the most part, as long as they're behind glass and i'm a decent distance away from that glass, but eek, anything else...*shudder* (i mean, REAL ones. stuffed animals or cartoons are completely fine :P) i rather like dolphins, though, for the record. and whales.
  24. short-term, my purpose is to live and study in england next year. long-term...i'm not entirely sure. but i really want to write books.
  25. ermmm, i happen to like pants :uhoh: i just wear sweatpants/PJ pants most of the time. those are pretty socially acceptable, i think, at least for running errands and going shopping and going to class and hanging around the house. i think even if it was socially acceptable to not wear pants at all, people would still wear something down there on more formal occasions anyway :P
