  1. ooooh, post it when you're finished, lore! :D  EDIT: you just did :nice:. thanks!!
  2. i think this most definitely is best thread '08. no question in my mind.
  3. i second that request. i looove that one, yet that's as big as i have it.
  4. in some ways i really agree, but in others i don't. i love coming across a coldplay song (or even just a reference :P) in unexpected places. there's never been a coldplay song on gossip girl (believe me, i would have reported back here), but i think i'd kind of really like it if there was. ^ditto. i really have NO idea why i watch that show at ALL, i actually don't even tell people much that i do, but yet i still watch. it's definitely a guilty pleasure, but i have a hard time even thinking WHY it's a pleasure!
  5. HAAAAAAAPPPPPPPYYYY BIIIIIRRRRRTTTTHHHHHHDAYYYYYYYYY ROLLE!!
  6. mark's puns :P nahh, just kidding :D i don't think there's anything technical about the board that i don't like, but what does bother me is the stupid fights over nothing people seem to have. if it's a debate in the news & sports section or something, fine, but when people get into spats about posted pictures and "owning threads," i just want to tear my hair out. what the hell is the point of fighting online? this place is supposed to be for fun anyway.
  7. haha! well my eyes definitely did a bit of a bulge and i got rather excited that i had been in the same exact place not too long ago, but when i realize that it is a public place and all...aw, hell, i was still geekily excited  i did post a pic, but i don't remember where. it's not with me in it, because my friends thought i was a loser enough, taking as many photos of it as i could, but most of my photos were from the same angle, at least :P here we go: i really should have just said screw it and gotten a pic with me in it, though. this line made me crack up with laughter because A) it's a hilarious image, chris martin outdoing that bunny but B) because it's the energizer bunny :P but NEW STUFF FOR THE NEXT ALBUM?! yes please!

  9. i thought i said something earlier in this thread, but i guess not  anyway, i can definitely help pass out signs, but i can't help print. i wish i was able to, but a) if you saw my printer you'd understand why i can't print them from my dorm :P b) i'm a poor college student that is already blowing quite a lot on this concert, so another $50 for copies would mean i would have to eat less the next month, and c) i'm travelling to philly by train and am spending the day in the city before the concert, so i can't really carry a box full of paper all day. i really, really wish i could help print, but i just don't see it happening. anyway, though, i hope more people can help print, because this line from the most recent R#42 blog makes me know we all have to do this right and get enough signs out there so they can be wowed the place can hold about 22,000 people for a concert, or around there. i wish there was some way we could ENSURE that every single person had a sign. i'd be willing to help out with an explanatory note, though, if no one's offered to do that yet.
  10. :laugh4: oooh, then i really hope the philly sign gang works out, because i think they'll be rather impressed by nearly every person in the stadium holding up the same sign :D

  12. i finally uploaded and looked at my photos from the radiohead concert. i had really crappy seats and a pole blocking my view of jonny, but i discovered that if i stuck my camera lens inside the eye of my binoculars, i could actually get some sucessful, decent photos! i kind of like this one, if only for the tunnel frame effect: it takes some experimentation, but next time you go to a radiohead concert and want to take pictures, this way sort of works!
  13. happy birthday, ari!!!
  14. :stunned: i love this. too bad it's probably like a thousand dollars. i was going to post a crappy picture of what i bought the other night, but imageshack is currently in one of its bad moods. will post them later.
  15. thank you, carla :nice:
  16. carlaaaaaa your pictures made me cry :bigcry: i felt so at home in rotterdam when i lived there. i was only there for a short time, but i miss it so much  (beautiful photos, BTW! :nice: i went on a spido tour on a day exactly like this one, and i'll never forget it)
  17. nice, carla! i love your glasses. *sigh* but the reflection in your sister's glasses reminds me of the spido boat tour i took in rotterdam, and i miss holland :bigcry: EDIT: OMG! i so called it!! you WERE actually on a spido tour! i just saw in the "post pictures of your city" thread! i knew that was rotterdam in your sisters' sunglasses' reflection! AHH i miss rotterdam and holland
  18. the thin lizzy one is completely beyond me. well, at least i'm not smacking myself in the head. i don't think i ever would have gotten the fratellis one, either. i might be making a moron of myself, but who is that dude in the picture?
  19. aww, guy looks so sad!
  20. i'd buy that red one off you in a second, seriously.
  21. hahahhaa, i was thinking the same EXACT thing tonight! i think they'll definitely perform again, and october seems like a good time, but i think it could be sometime next yearish, too. i wish like HELL that they'd host it, or at least do a sketch (i loooooved the jimmy kimmel thing!), but i doubt it. only rarely do the artists do sketches. i just hope their potential performance will be better than the X&Y one. i found both speed of sound and especially fix you to be sub-par.
  22. i went shopping tonight, telling myself i couldn't buy anything, but look what happened :dozey: i got a cropped cardigan and a brown tank top to go under it from old navy, a flowy sort of tank from gap (for $7!), and a nice brown purse from NY&CO because i didn't have any nice brown purses, and it was only $11.99 :D i think i'll post a picture later, just for the hell of it.
  23. thank god! i hope he doesn't touch it. it might be back to close to perfect by the time i see them in late october and early november :cheesy:
