  2. gah, i wish my curly hair behaved like yours, lore! mine just bugs out in all directions and looks like an afro. hence the hair straightener. i don't think anyone's even really seen the state of my unstraightened hair.
  3. ^:laugh4: i don't think you need to, briggs. me neither. i don't think you can get mine more curly. i use a hair straightener, though. religiously. nice picture, rachael!! :nice:
  4. ^ :stunned: are you SERIOUS?! your brother is an AMAZING artist!
  5. i really, really miss my records and record player when i'm at uni  they're so much cooler to listen to! 2008 is going to be such a good music year as well, so my CD collection is going to be significantly larger by december.
  6. there's a whole long list of CDs i plan to buy...if i can get out of here this weekend i'm going to get some of them if i can find them. i like CDs a lot better than downloads. but i like records much more than i like CDs! :D
  7. ^it comes back on in america a week from today! are you guys getting it back soon as well?
  8. 12:09, finally gave myself some free time, but all of a sudden i don't know what to do with it! so, 12:09, wasting time on the internet. what else is new?
  9. scrubs! (reruns, of course) i just had to write a really long paper on it yesterday, so i've been kind of innundated with it in the past weeks. good thing i LOVE it! also watched clips from the office (US version), grey's anatomy, seinfeld, sex and the city, and the fresh prince of bel air in class today. do clips count?
  10. that's what i said! she buys them for herself, rips them, and then sends them to me :P still, though! i love getting packages from her, because it's almost always music.
  11. this may actually turn out like i want it to!!
  12. we're learning about japanese samauri in one of my classes, and yesterday my teacher was reading aloud from the hagakure, which is like a book of their rules and way of life. this is one of the quotes that he read: "When faced with a crisis, if one puts some spittle on his earlobe and exhales deeply through his nose, he will overcome anything at hand. This is a secret matter. Furthermore, when experiencing a rush of blood to the head, if one puts spittle on the upper part of one’s ear, it will soon go away." i think i'm going to put spit on my ear the next time i listen to AROBTTH to see if it makes it even better! :laugh4: needless to say, when he read that, i snorted a laugh audibly. everyone kinda looked at me funny, but it's such an outrageous quotation anyway that they probably just figured i was laughing at how dumb it was, not the coldplay reference that they didn't pick up on.

well because i don't do it much, my left-handed writing is messier than with my right, but i can do it. i'm actually left-handed in almost everything but writing, but i can do it with my left, it just takes longer and looks more like a third-grader's. sometime when i have a scanner at my disposal i'll post my left-handed writing, but i haven't tried it in a while!

:nice: thanks! haha, well i was bored and had some pent-up energy, so those green stars were a bonus :P heh, it does slant to the left, which is interesting because i wrote that with my right hand. when i write with my left hand it slants to the right. i think that's opposite of what most people tend to do. i don't think your y's and g's make it hard to read; it makes it prettier! i think it looks like it could be a computer font. i think once i get home to my scanner i'll write more notes...for some reason it was more satisfying than typing everything!

semy, your handwriting is sooo cool! and it IS neat! i like to write in marker best... and here it is REALLY big in case you can't read it when it's small: the "te" under the word "is" is a mistake i forgot to cross out   i love this thread!
  21. i love everyone here! :nice: well, of course there are some that you're going to like better than others...but really, i don't feel like i know anyone well enough to dislike them. like them, yes, but not to dislike them. therefore, i like everyone!
  22. 4:56 and uploading pictures while listening to music.
  23. ah, guidance counselors can suck. i think mine was pretty good for my needs, but my problem was that at the time i was much too afraid to even admit to myself that i wanted to study film and write movies rather than do something more practical and traditional like being a lawyer or politician like all my friends. so in that sense, i kind of got pointed in the wrong direction, but it wasn't her fault at all. since then i've said screw it, and am reapplying to some schools with film programs next year  my point is: good on you for telling him that you will be a musician, emily! that takes guts, i think, because i was too afraid to say that sort of thing even in my own head. i think it's great that you stuck it to him :D (and i feel exactly the same way about film that you do about music! it's the only thing that i'll ever want to do anymore, so i'm going to pursue it until i live in a shitty trailer outside of LA with an outdated laptop stealing wifi from starbucks and can't even feed myself with what i make)
  24. ugh, i COMPLETELY agree. i've got friends who perpetually say they're sick and it bothers the crap out of me. either shut up and deal or admit that you're not really sick and are looking for attention or an excuse to not do anything. and i'm not an unsympathetic person either: if someone's really sick and bedridden or vomiting or whatever i feel terrible for them, but all this whining about getting colds bothers the crap out of me. i think a lot of times, most of the cold is mental anyway. if you tell yourself it's not that bad and it's only a sniffle, you feel better.
  25. ah yeah, that's much better! :nice: jonny's not all cut off and wonky like in mine.
