  1. i definitely agree. i've got a playlist for nights that i can't sleep, and it's mostly comprised of coldplay. and AROBTTH is literally the only thing that can get me to fall asleep some nights. i thank coldplay for not having me die of sleep deprivation yet.
  2. whoa! snow?! it's getting warmer by the day here in the valley of central PA, but we get wacky and atypical weather here. last week it was 80 degrees F one day (which is about 26-27 degrees C for all you that live in the rest of the world that has a logical sensical temperature system). nice pictures, semy!! :nice: it's nice to see you again. and i stand by what i said previously about you being handsome.
  3. nice, rachael!! i'll do this tomorrow so i can take pictures in peace. the whole slideshow of pictures with me explaining it in audio might be too much to bother with, so i think i'll just end up doing what you did :D. i can try, though, but if someone catches me recording a little explanation of my room into the computer, i will have sealed my labeling as the most insane person on the floor.
  4. i envy your gun laws over there. don't even get me started on gun control in the US. i think it's the root of so many of our problems, including all the horrific school shootings. i suppose we just don't hear so much about the gnarly things that happen in the UK, so perhaps i just have a skewed view, but you guys don't have nearly as many of these shootings etc, do you? anyway, back to those pretty coins...
  5. well it's not like mine is particularly interesting! i just think it's a cool idea to share where we all live. no matter how boring. hmm, maybe i can take some pics of the dormroom on monday and put together a little slideshow thingy in place of a video. i've got to do it when my roommate's not around though, because she'd think i was insane. same with once i get home, but then i can borrow my brother's camera which has video capabilities. but like i say, my room needs a makeover before ANYONE sees it :P
  6. seeing as i have an SLR camera, i can't do videos. but i could post photos with little explanations, even explanations recorded in my voice...:P perhaps not.
  7. yes, low-fat this time. unfortunately, my purchase of a mix to make reese's peanut butter brownies, easy mac, and uh-oh oreos kind of offsets my efforts to stay the same weight i am. *sigh*. how come everything that tastes so good is so bad for you?
  8. nooo not sulk!! i think i'm going to go sulk now. bah.
  9. i discovered today that more than just the original flavor comes in the low-fat variety. needless to say, i bought a can of original and a can of cheese. along with a whole host of other foodstuffs that most certainly are going to make me excessively pudgy.
  10. ooh, this sounds cool! once i get home (5 weeks...meh) and can borrow my brother's camera, i'll do this i think. EDIT: after i erm, fix up my room a bit. i wouldn't ever put my room as it stands now on the internet. eek.
  11. good point. that would have solved several of their problems right there. and i think the bodyguard was laughing at points, which is kind of funny.
  12. it's now warm enough here that i can wear my "coldplay jacket" (very similar to the one chris wears in "the scientist" video, etc). i wore it today, and it made me happy :nice: also saw the new rolling stone magazine, but didn't buy it because there was only a tiny blurb about the new album, the same one that we were made aware of last night. it wasn't even a good pic of chris.
  13. i wasn't pretending to be more drunk than i was. i was just using my level of drunkeness as a good time to say what i should have a long time ago. whatever. i don't drink for many reasons, and uncontrollable behavior is one of them. i've never gotten to that point and i never want to.
  14. i don't really drink, but on one of the times i have, i told a person that i really don't like that i didn't like him. the thing was that i knew what i was doing, i wasn't that drunk. i was just using the alcohol as an excuse to finally say why i thought he was a jerk. everyone was a bit shocked, though, because i don't say things like that ever. and i don't dislike many people, either: i can think of about four people that i truly dislike. but everyone else around me was more drunk, so it wasn't that big a deal at the time.
  15. that's just so disgusting. what's even more disgusting is how much money those pictures and videos will bring in for those low-life paparazzi. think of how many thousands of dollars a photo of chris and gwyneth together costs. and think about how that money could be better spent towards charities; MTF and oxfam for example. argh. i'd gladly forsake seeing so many chris pics for putting that money towards places it's actually needed.
  16. a facebook bumpersticker. it's been a boring day. it's a little cartoon gingerbread guy with a huge speechbubble over his head saying "I'M NOT WEARING ANY PAAAAAAAAAAANTS!" i have a very odd sense of humor. the most random stuff like that can leave me in tears. oh god.
  17. i've got lots of misheard lyrics like that  come to think of it, i tend to mishear things a lot in real life as well, when people are just talking. my damn ears.
  18. i do too! i like it because it's not like rage-filled or anything, it's kind of a matter-of-fact thing that sounds logical. i don't know, but they manage to be the antithesis to coldplay lyric-wise and still be happy and funny. gahhh, i love them. i've been obsessively listening all week, and i haven't really taken off my strokes sweatshirt :D.
  19. boo, that sucks. that's how it would have been for me if they were doing boston after the 22nd, because i would need to be back at school, probably. perhaps i could have finagled philly if it was late, but only if my parents let me bring my car back here next term.
  20. i had to look up the lyrics to sulk as well in the booklet. i'd been singing them wrong for ages, actually. like i thought "we're already gone" was "we pray to god" and that my favorite like "i declare a holiday, fall asleep" was actually "i declare a holiday full of sleep." i actually kind of like mine better...a holiday full of sleep sounds so amazing...i did it once in high school and listened to sulk all day :P
  21. woot! someone agrees with me!! i think we need to launch a campaign for them. i'll be uber-happy if somehow sulk and black star win! i love the line in sulk "so i delcare a holiday, fall asleep, drift away." and the guitar in black star gets me every time.
  22. argh, for some reason the little audioplayer thing won't appear when i open it in firefox. firefox hates me; it NEVER works right! i think i'll DL that clip you posted. thanks!
  23. i think the strokes make me very very happy. makes me feel like going to an awesome party with my friends, and i'm really not a partier. but a lot of the lyrics are kind of bratty (adorably so! :D) and talk about hating people and being tired of the people around you, so perhaps it's not what you're looking for. i'd say check out albert hammond jr.'s solo album (he's the strokes guitarist), as well as bands like the killers. i think the killers always get you pumped.
  24. is there any other place you could go if its after the 22nd?
  25. bulletproof for me. sulk and black star are my two faves  but yet again, i know they're not going to last. i seem to like odd radiohead songs compared to you guys.
