:blush: i've always really liked liquidsky as well. and i saw yesterday in the "newest member" thingy on the main forum page, there was a noob named "death's friend." i thought that was pretty creative, given the new album title :D i know there are more, though. i have to think of them.

what's the difference? are european pancakes like crepes? thinner, etc?

i love the song proof, but chris's voice really can get to you in that one, even i'll admit that. i just like that one musically quite a bit.

i can't say i know what crumpets are. i was always under the impression that they were what the british/europeans call english muffins, but i could be wrong. are these crumpets? if they are, they're interchangeable with english muffins and they're better toasted! of course, we'd have to watch them very carefully in the mushroom cloud there so they don't get too burned.

maybe not EVERY weekend, but it's a big plus. it's not even a homesickness thing; i just happen to like the area and don't like things like transport time getting in the way of the times that i DO want to go home. like i couldnt go home for easter yesterday and it made me sad :bigcry: i also just really like being alone a lot of the time, so if i can go home easier, i can escape from the craziness when i need to :P

no, i'd never seen it! i don't know how i missed it, but i did. gah! any other brilliant ones i'm missing out on? :wink3: today seems to be the "spies" day! it came up on my ipod while walking to class, i talked about it in another thread, and i saw this AMAZING performance of it for the first time.

:stunned: how come i've never seen this before? it's INCREDIBLE. my god. i have to show this to my mom; it's her favorite coldplay song. i also think/hope that VLVOD might have a bit of this sort of vibe if it's supposed to be darker. i love that. they do weird and dark so well. *adds to youtube favorites*

yeah, i don't actually believe the release date is going to change. i'm just still in a bit of shock that we ACTUALLY have it, so the pessimist in me thinks that now i'm so satisifed and happy, it'll get taken away just as easily.

yeah, i hate that he's bad about predicting how long things will take. or maybe he's just bad about updating us on time. that frustrates me in people i know, and it frustrates me in prospekt. and i know i'm overly optimistic about violet hill, but really i have to say that i don't care when we get it because i'm satisfied now that we know the release date (with a single before then, probably). of COURSE the sooner the better, but if i had to, i could wait until june 17. as long as they PROMISE to keep that date set in stone, that is! :P

thanks guys :nice: you all make a lot of sense i'm not a fan of the place i'm currently in, which is central rural pennsylvania with quite a bit of poverty etc. the school i'd be going to is not in a brilliant area, either, but since it's only an hour from home i can escape from it better. right now i'm 4-5 hours from home, which is somewhat aggrivating.

i think they've probably already got it hammered out already, unless jonny jumped chris in that meeting and it melted down into some huge physical brawl. but they've been working on it for longer than just this week, so i think we'll get an update soon. i'm choosing to believe that maybe we'll be getting some other info (album art, "violet hill") along with the tracklisting, so maybe it's taking so long because they're finishing that stuff up as well. or maybe prospekt just "forgot" that he promised to tell us :laugh1:

i've always wondered if jonny is ACTUALLY headbutting chris in that. i sincerely doubt it, because that could cause some major damage. i think they set it up as a joke, like a stage-punch or something, but it still cracks me up every time because chris falls like a board.

^:laugh1: sadly, i do do that. but not really "blame," per se. i have to say that the name is growing on me, as i knew it would. i still think they had better things to choose from, but it doesn't sound as lame now as it did last week, i guess. they know best, of course. it's just not something i'd name an album.

heh. i'm a bit freakish with dates. sadly, i can remember the date of most happenings in my life. it's just something that sticks in there. people always ask me when shit happened, like asking for the month or whatever, and think i'm insane when i come out with the day as well. parachutes was my first favorite as well, and i think it is musically better in some ways, but i feel like i have more of a personal connection with AROBTTH, which is why i like it more.

ian, do you know the actual highest it's ever been? because i'm still maintaining that i saw it around 71,000 (closer to 72,000) a few days ago. i'm almost definitely completely wrong, but i really remember seeing that.

i don't actually know the difference between the two, but my guess always has been that jail is like a cell that you go into for a night after you've been arrested for being drunk or whatever, and prison is somewhere that you go for a very long time after murdering someone or committing tax fraud or something. i could be completely wrong. care to enlighten us, emily?

it's perfume for guys, just with a more "masculine" scent. it depends on the type of guy, but it's pretty normal, yeah. and some people basically SWIM in it so they smell like a perfume shop and it makes you feel sick when they even walk by. it's pretty nauseating. i'm hoping my brother grows out of it.

^agreed. a very tiny hint is ok, but i hate the overpowering grossness. my brother is obsessed with cologne, and the smell wafts into my room all the time and makes me sick.
