yeah, guys are crazy sometimes. lots of my guy friends call/called me every freaking day and did things like that, which made me wonder about their motives but honestly i think they were just too stupid to realize that calling a girl every day just to talk is kind of an obsessive thing to do. and then sometimes these calls/text from potential interests got me way too excited and amounted to nothing. this is just my experience, though; i don't think it applies in every case! if you really like him, then i'd say make it slightly obvious without getting too annoying. if you make it known without being obnoxious, then he'll do something if he feels similar, i think. or you could be the bold one and say it straight out, but that's kind of not how i do things personally. then again, i have no idea why i'm giving boy-advice since every relationship i've had/wanted petered out into a friendship. which is fine, but also aggrivating.

i used to think prospekt was eno for a long time, but in the past 3 months or so i've been pretty sure it's phil. this just confirms it further.

she looked so beautiful at that event! my god, i don't think she's looked that noticably fabulous in a while. i love her hair!

awww, what a great interview! i'd actually never seen anything but screenshots from that one before. their excitement is contagious, and this album was released six years ago! i hope they sound just as enthusiastic about VLVOD in interviews. i don't recall them seeming as satisfied or electrified with x&y in interviews, in retrospect, but perhaps i just haven't been seeing the right ones. they seemed much more...worried. girly alert (i'm having a lot of these lately): might i mention how cute they are in it? chris is particularly smiley :D

^you've just described my ultimate dream. actually, my ultimate dream is to sneak into their vault and hear EVERYTHING, but an unreleased tracks album would be incredible!

*tries to race but loses by about...7 minutes* damn. i wonder if ANY of us are going to be right about the tracklisting. i don't have the energy to mathematically work out the number of possible track combinations, but i bet it's HUGE. i doubt any of us will get it spot-on, but someone's bound to be close.

i kind of go release and merchandise crazy. i have two copies of AROBTTH on CD (well, one's my mom's), one X&Y, one parachutes (i actually only bought the parachutes one two months ago! i only had a burned copy before), all three albums on vinyl, the singles box set...not to mention a couple posters and t-shirts and the like. i just figure that if i like them so much and really believe in what they're doing, i might as well support them in that. however, i'm probably going to end up illegally downloading VLVOD either a few days before or if it leaks before then. though i still plan to go out and buy the physical release! there's something about having a record as a tangible thing that i like way more than downloads.

^i hope so too. especially because we know about them, it'll be great if we get to hear ALL the songs they've told us about in some form! EDIT: ah, and you beat me to that one!

^"song for the escapist" is a song that's supposed to be in a british movie called the escapist, which is out in the UK on april 11 and the US on april 25. coldplay's never said anything about it, but it's on the soundtrack listing on IMDB.com among other places. i believe that it's legit information, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was just a rumor, either. especially because people have already seen the movie in film festivals and premieres, and the song hasn't been leaked or even mentioned. then again, the people that go to film fesivals and exclusive premiers are probably not going to hear the latest coldplay song and don't even know of its existence. "deserter" was a possible track to go on AROBTTH, but no one's ever heard it. we know of the title because of it being listed on one of their lists behind chris in that crazyadorable video of when "jonny goes jazz"

oh right, it is on the list in back of chris! that video kills me every time. i couldn't make out any other tracktitles, though. however that's probably for the better.

^i loooove that version of daylight! i love the way it's shot on the DVD as well...sometimes in black and white and in color during the chorus with the orange and purple light... it also gets me when jonny sings... ok, i'm really active with the barack obama presidential campaign, and pennsylvania (the state i'm at uni in right now) is HUGELY important to the nomination, so there are hundreds and hundreds of offical obama campaigners around. there's one that's working specifically with our school and he was at our obama club meeting yesterday...and i just about fell over when i walked into the room because i thought he WAS will champion. and i was talking to him again today...and the whole time i was wondering if he knew that he was practically a will champion clone :laugh1:

yeah, ive been too excited to fall asleep properly all week! that's a persisting problem with me, actually, but rarely because i'm excited! and once i do fall asleep, it's very nice sleep because i'm so happeeee... a clean sweep for this week would make me so happy i wouldn't know what to do anymore! i suppose anything can happen, since we've gotten something FOUR DAYS in a row, but i'm not too optimistic.

even though i love the phrase "death and all his friends," i actually think the entire title would sound a bit better as just "viva la vida or death." it's simpler, less cluttered, and i think has more meaning, maybe. and it reminds me a bit of the whole "give me liberty or give me death" sentiment (not that i'm some huge SUV-driving, flag-waving hardcore american or anything!)

switching optimisim/pessimism roles again, are we? :wink3: i find that when i completely convince myself that something won't happen, it usually does. but this time i'm not just tricking fate or whatever it is, i also don't really think they'll tell us this week anymore

yeah, i take back what i said about march. i think april now. i'm less optimisitc about getting a prospekt entry this week as well, but that's ok.

^somehow, that was even funnier the second time you told me about it :laugh4: for some reason, every time that i've listened to "shiver" this week since we got all this fabulous news, i'm suddenly overcome by this concentrated feeling of intense excitement for the new music. i've been excited around the clock since we got the date, don't get me wrong, but for some reason every time i hear this song, it gets heightened to a new level. perhaps it's because i think it's one of their greatest songs musically and especially vocally, and chris's vocals are supposed to be outstanding on VLVOD. the sad part is that "shiver" is my cell phone ringtone, so i'm getting kind of ridiculously and unbearably excited quite frequently...:dozey:

^oh, me neither! music theory etc is completely beyond me in every way, but i guess i can pick out things that sounds similar on occasion. it took me a long time to make the connection between these two songs as well, but i KNEW "you" reminded me of something...

snow is absolutely amazing! wow, i can't imagine never seeing it! i think it's one of the coolest and prettiest things in the world, actually. and that it cancels school is a MAJOR bonus :laugh1:

it's fine now, yeah. it was a pinched nerve in my neck that set it off from, catch this: spending too much time sitting at the computer :dozey: i'm lucky it hasn't happened again since, because i spend a ridiculous amount of time at the computer. but i could deal again...it didn't hurt or anything, it was just odd-feeling, like a bag of sand or something.

oh, i wasn't talking lyrically, i was talking musically! mainly just the sound of the guitars and the structure of the song...never fails to remind me of "yellow"
