What do you do when you're angry?
I just tend to shout when I get angry. And apparently my eyes grow to double their original size, and my hands start flailing everywhere :uhoh: I don't tend to get physical though, well I recall repeatedly punching a pillow a couple of years back, but I'll make that an exception, since it involved me moving schools. But really, I don't get angry very often, just annoyed most of the time. I'm quite a composed person, I think.

Which musicians share your birthday?
Only one worth noting: 1944, Born on this day, Bruce Johnson, vocals, guitar, The Beach Boys, (1966 UK & US No.1 single 'Good Vibrations', plus over 25 other UK Top 40 singles).

The OFFICIAL VIVA LA VIDA Music Video (Apparently!)
If this is real, then I have officially lost all hope in their sense of creativity. It just looks like a fan made video to me though, so I wouldn't worry. Plus, didn't they say it was supposed to be groundbreaking? Because THAT, is NOT groundbreaking.

What will the next song color be?
Something turquoise, maybe.

"A Rush of Blood to the Head" Discussion
It's definitely one of my favourites - and I think that chorus contains some of Chris' best lyrics. Its also one of Guy's best moments I think. And Jonny's guitar is so atmospheric and perfect. Ahh, and its just sooo epic live.

The Wallpaper SHOWDOWN!!
Aww thanks! :nice: Yours is better though, Thalia :P I really like the way you alter the colours, it's subtle but it really makes it look outstanding

The Wallpaper SHOWDOWN!!
Here's mine. And yes, I'm posting this at 4:35 AM. I'm having trouble sleeping. (Click to enlarge) I was really stuck for ideas, so I just ended up using a long-exposure photo I took a few hours ago of a street lamp rushing across the lens. Anyway, off to bed for me. Nite! :nice: PS: I really love your wallpaper, Thalia! :D

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Since it was a miserable day here in the south-west of england, I was stuck indoors for most of the day... so I decided to try out my new camera that arrived this morning :nice: I was taking photos of our road from my brother's window, when I noticed a stack of CDs on the windowsill which had a custom burned copy of Parachutes on the top (complete with bonus tracks from U2 and Stereophonics :P), so here's the picture: Lame excuse for a random thoughts post, but I just like the fact that a CD I burned 3 years ago seems to still be in use somehow, seeing as it was at the top of the CD stack :D

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I was at home yesterday and was sanding the walls down, preparing them to be painted. Since the wall paint on this particular wall was a dark muddy brown colour (we had more pleasant wallpaper covering it previously), the sanding paper would make a whitish mark on the wall. So I was blasting VLVODAAHF at the time, and so I found myself sanding the Viva La Vida logo onto the wall. Then the doorbell rang, and i had to quickly try to sand over the letters in case it was a neighbour (just to spare them witnessing my insanity),but it turned out to be my brother. I was hoping he wouldn't notice (I thought I did a damn good job at covering up the letters :P) but somehow he managed to figure them out... I was in the kitchen at the time, and I could hear my brother from the lounge: "V... Viva... La....... Semy. You're so OBSESSED." Unfortunately I had no comeback for that one :P

New Coldplay Shop
^ I know what you mean, if I end up getting my hands on these I would actually consider wearing them while I'm out and about. The lyrics one, especially :D

How old are coldplay listeners?
I'm 19, and I've been a true fan since the first time I listened to their first 2 albums back in December 2004, when I was 15 :nice: I remember hearing and liking Yellow back in 2001, but I also remember seeng the Don't Panic video at a friends house in 2000. That would make me about 10. :stunned:

New Coldplay Shop
Oh man. These shirts aren't available from the UK store. Which is actually not too much of a disaster, since that place doesn't accept my debit card anyway, for some reason. To cut a long story short, I still don't have that AROBTTH poster above my keyboard :dozey: And I'm guessing you can't get any of these from 3rd party websites? I really want that blue Spiral Lyrics one. (well ideally, I would take the whole lot )

June 2008: Your One-Stop-Shop for Coldplay Info!
Ack! I'm so sorry, this had completely slipped my mind until I saw this thread again just now . I no longer have the .PSD photoshop file of the June calender I don't think, I may have deleted it. But I'll see if Chelsea can send me her copy and I can try to get a July calender up for you guys. Meanwhile of course, you can go here to see upcoming Coldplay events for this month. :nice:

Do you chew Chewing Gum?
Haha, that used to be my chemistry teacher's catchphrase. Good times.

The Other Accents Poll
Haha, oh god, my mum is obsessed with scots saying 'murder'. Looks like she might not be the only one :P Taggart (the murder drama) is always tuned on her tv so I can't say I'm all that surprised
-
Do you chew Chewing Gum?
Haha, well I used to chew gum occasionally (mostly when friends offered it to me), but I can't remember chewing any gum since I got braces fitted. But I don't feel I'm missing out on anything to be honest... I can live without the stuff. It was an interesting question, though! I usually used to only chew the peppermint ones though, wasn't a fan of bubble gum.

HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN WHEN YOU DIE
How would god justify sending people to 'Hell' for not following him or taking the 'right path'? Surely sending helpless beings to a place of eternal torture is a more evil act than anyone can commit here on earth, right? I just find it hard to understand why the creator of such a beautiful universe would want to do such a thing. I just can't picture higher power wanting to torture his own creations, is all.

Do you ever smoke?
I've never smoked, and I don't plan to either. None of my high school friends smoked so I guess I just never really thought it as being a social thing (same thing with drinking). None of my immediate family in this country smokes either. Some of my friends at uni smoke and one in particular is pretty much a chain smoker, but it still puts me off big time. Plus I have moderate asthma, so smoking would probably kill me 10x faster than most people.

Profiles
I have no idea who you're referring to. I don't, honestly :P

Religion?
^I'm glad you seem to get what I'm saying, Saffire... seeing as my post was all over the place. But yeah, my mum doesn't even look north african herself. She has light skin and looks more european than anything. But then, we have part-french roots, so there's never been a 'pure' ancestry in our family, its like one big boiling pot. So I guess that explains the way I look, I guess. I totally agree with everything you said though, I couldn't have said it any better. I guess it's just annoying that I had to go through most of the things you mentioned to realise that's NOT what I think is 'right', and that I wouldn't want my children to go through the same thing. And yes, science and reason is the way to go, if there's any chance of there being any kind of lasting peace on this planet. Religion seems to be a great divider, in my opinion. And may I add, that I think believing in God and following a religion are two different things? You do not have to follow a religion to believe in a higher being, IMO.
