  1. I share my birthday with Nelson Mandela!? Wow. It would be nice if they were celebrating mine, though :P
  2. Haha... play count 64 in Windows Media Player. And thats minus the probable 50 or so plays on my mp3 player. Sick of it? Never :P
  3. Notice what Music Week say about these extra songs: With the band recording additional material that did not make the album’s final cut, Parlophone is also promising a treat for fans, with a number of other non-album tracks eventually seeing the light of day. So the question is, when they say 'eventually see the light of day', are they talking about the same material that will supposedly be released "alongside" the album? Also, are the two different coloured sentences describing the same unreleased material, or two different sets of songs?
  4. Hahaha, wow Wikipedia cracks me up.
  5. Excellent, thank you! :D
  6. You made those?! They're awesome! :P
  7. That just MIGHT be true, you know!
  8. All I know is, that he's called Basil, and his catchphrase is: "Ha Ha Ha BOOM BOOM!"
  9.                                        Who needs words, really?
  10. So, this is where you can make up your own fictional stories using the coldplaying smiles as your characters! (It doesn't look like there's a thread like this already, so I think it should be original enough to have its own thread... but feel free to merge it if something like this already exists!) Here's a very simple and unexciting example on how it can go. You can make your's a whole lot cooler/funnier/interesting. Characters  - Mr. Cool :D - Ms. Smiley :dozey: - Mr. Unimpressed ------------------------------- Example story : Wazzup homies? :D: Where have you been sweetheart?: Oh, just for a little shopping spree. :dozey:: As per usual.: Are you trying to say that clothes shopping isn't cool for a guy? :dozey:: Not when you come back wearing fish net stockings and glittery high heel shoes its not.: You can't say that when you havn't seen the whole outfit yet! * puts on fake beard* ( --> :disguise:) :disguise:: How do I look? :D: Oooooh! I like it! It looks very... manly. :dozey:: I'm not impressed. :disguise:: You never are. Whats wrong with my outfit anyway? :dozey:: Everything. You look ridiculous. And the bra DEFINITELY needs to go. :disguise:: You dissing my manbumps? :dozey:: Last time I checked, you didn't have any. :D: ... you've seen Mr. Cool in the nude? :dozey:: Thats not what I said. :disguise:: You'd better start explaining yourself mister. :dozey:: You don't seriously think - :disguise:: Well I can't say I blame you. What with this steaming hot body and all. :D: Oooh Yummy! :dozey:: I can't BELIEVE I'm hearing this. :disguise:: Heh... you just can't admit that you wish you had my stunning looks and awesome dress sense! :dozey:: Yeah? I must be missing something pretty big then huh? :disguise:: Oh wouldn't you like to know. :dozey:: ARGH! I'm outta here. :disguise:: Going so soon? You don't want to see my new thong? *reaches for bag* :dozey:: NO! *runs out* :D: Awww... well I like you're outfit honey! :bobby:: Everything OK here, ladies? :disguise:: *:dozey:* Etcetera, etcetera. Now you have a go at creating you're own 'Smilie Stories'! :nice: It doesn't have to be as long, or it can be shorter, if you want. And you can have as many characters as you like. GO!
  11. I've just eaten my first Pringle in 47 days! Any other Pringle-related news out there?
  12. I agree. Its a nice song, for sure, and I like its dream-like atmosphere, but really they just end up sounding like something they're not. They are already a similar band to U2, in that they make songs about love and loss (etc), in a soft-rock-fashion. If anything, this song proves that Coldplay can emulate U2 almost perfectly. Its only a B-side though, so I don't think its much to worry about.
  13. Hahaha, cool! :P
  14. They're back!
  15. I just finished mixing this song... its an instrumental, and I havn't given it a name yet, but here it is: http://www.sendspace.com/file/tvr948 Probably needs drums, I'll add those later.
  16. C-Side? :dozey:
  17. Agreed on both points.
  18. OK, here's my interpretation  As far as I can see All time and circuitry Is wrong As far as poetry Sit down and sing to me A song It's/Cos' all I want in this world All I want in this world Is for you to come home A spell a rebel yell A spell Soldier come home to me You've been away from me So long All I want in this world All I want and deserve Is for you to come home A spell a rebel yell (8x)
  19. I'm hearing: All time and circuitry All I want and deserve Are wrong
  20. Remember, go to this thread after it gets played, because i'll be posting the link to the song there! http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showthread.php?t=44400
  21. I'll be recording it ;) Stay tuned!
  22. ^Argh, good luck with those AS's. My first exam is on the 19th of May, and I've yet to get thoroughly revising for it. I think as soon as I've listened to A Rebel Yell, I'll be able to focus. Good luck everyone! :nice:
  23. Haha, i think I might know what thats about :P
