  1. Well I'm no big fan of them, but I gotta say there's something original in their music. I saw on the TV a concert they made in a tiny room and I was surprised by how they created a nice ambience. The music is simple, and somehow a little naïve, but I find this interesting. Anyway, I usually don't listen to them, but I think one should not mistake them for yet another uncreative pop band.

  3. Woot ! Good news, that is !
  4. I'm glad I helped. Mr Blue Sky is a total masterpiece. To me it's Lynne's Bohemian Rhapsody
  5. I agree about Pink Floyd : mainly the 7O's era. How about some Led Zeppelin ? Even The Smiths. Maybe Electric Light Orchestra (album : Out Of The Blue) Explosions In The Sky Eels The Hoosiers ... AAAAAAAND Ocean ! I sooo love that song from JBT.
  6. Yes it's a nice album. Untitled#3 is my fav Sigur Ros song.
  7. I think you meant Queen - A Night At The Opera Wonderful album, actually my favourite from them
  8. for me it's Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon. @ Thompson and General Smut : I don't think the Best of The Smiths and Hatful Of Hollow can be considered albums. They're compilations.
  9. At The Drive-In comes instantly to my mind. A shame that both Mars Volta and Sparta founding members officially hate each other, because no one plays any ATDI stuff live these days, and I miss this. I would kill for more live versions of Rolodex Propaganda : this was magical.
  10. ^ Well I actually agree with that in a way, but "beatles suck" That's lovely... I have to ask : Marek, would you by chance be deaf ?
  11. David Gilmour - Live in Gdansk As of studio albums : At The Drive-In - Relationship Of Command (a true masterpiece)
  12. I saw them twice already, twice in my little town of St Cloud, and twice they blew my mind. Steady as she goes, Level and Bang Bang : great live performances.
  13. Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez/Cedric Bixler-Zavala
  14. I'd say Sigur Ros, maybe even Björk, Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, Incubus, recent Porcupine Tree, and of course The Mars Volta (i recommend this band to absolutely everyone).
  15. It is really good. And soothing in the end, ie what I need right now.
  16. Come on ! Showbiz era : the man can't even sing right. Symmetry era : He's playing so much his guitar hero part that he forgets to play well. Absolution era : Not too bad, I gotta say. Black holes era : he's so high on Cocaine that he permanently looks like a skeleton, and his way of singing, you can't even recognize the word you know by heart. Plus show off again. So many bands are so much better out here right now.
  17. Then you have a serious lack of concert experience...
  18. Wow this sounds wonderful. (I mean the collaboration stuff, no the fact that Jack looks half-dead).
  19. Wow this is surprising !! I really can't imagine how Radiohead can possibly bore you to sleep.
  20. Sorry but "mashing songs together" sounds a lot like "making a mixtape" to me. After I saw them, I listened to other performances from the Alive tour, and they were all the same. I mean, each second is the same. This shouldn't even be called a 'live performance'. It's no more than a mixtape being played in front of an audience. I think I've never been more disappointed in a band...
  21. Sorry, but Radiohead is obvious to me.
