Well, at times we see with greater clarity and depth the truth in all things, the truth in all experiences. There is within us all the key to unlock the mysteries of the universe & the connections to share those experiences with our fellow creatures. It takes an open mind and an open heart to find that truth, for it can only be discovered when we put ourselves into a relaxed mode of openness, and search for the deeper meaning. Why when the wind blows, the aspen leaves rustle in the trees on a warm fall afternoon, and this affects us so? Or the simple, pure song of a sparrow. Certainly, we are simultaneously separate and joined with the world around us - bound by the immutable universal truths - some known, some unknown, and most yet to be discovered by each in their own time. The many wheels of the universe turn as the clockwork that is both driver of and driven by an invisible yet discoverable force.. A force which is present within us all...

It strikes me as amusing (if not a bit disconcerting) that one can take a semester of Calculus II, learn how to solve equations relating volumes of objects described by complex 3-dimensional formula - or you could just have a computer do it! (someone has to program it, but not all that many mathematicians would be needed..) Or, you could make a model of the object, and fill it with water from a glass of water - then measure the volume of water. But using mathematics to create works of art - mow that's useful!! Maybe what's missing is more practical applications.. and more imagination into the truth behind what mathematics really means - a symbolic representation of relationships within the known universe.

And I'm only trying to get to Gwinn when it's snowing.. So when did they start to deify the Bible's characters? I suppose the embellishments made in Mesopotamia.. Anyhow, tiddly-pom principle works nicely, thank you. And some basic understood rules that advance civilization with the most progressive values. God is really everything, as honoring truth is to honor the totality of the universe.
