sooooooooooo I'm bored and I've got another question
Hell: Being slowly lowered into a volcanic caldera; hot molten rock searing away, beginning with my big toes.. the roar of steamy vents and the smell of sulfury gasses hanging thick in the air all around..:laugh3: Seriously? Hmmm.. well, lots of things! Watching someone getting clobbered on the road would be very upsetting.. (had that happen to a pet once - definitely no fun. I would not like to see anyone or anything suffer so awful a fate..)

Answer the question above you
Well, let's phrase it this way: If you lost a leg or three, or if you were born with an extra leg or two, and thus had three legs, which animal would you be??
-
Answer the question above you
Raymond says 'Jon Bonjovi'. I says 'Paul Hewson' If you only had three legs, what animal would you prefer to be?

North American Union is Replacing the USA *Updated*
The main problems I see here are: who finances the elected officials, and what do they get in return?; and who owns the media and what messages do they want the public to see or not see? Campaign finance reform is tops on my list - get the big corporate money out of the campaigns! Secondly, break up the media monopolies! Limited ownership has been slanting the message and subverting the truth from sources that had been unbiased in the past. But we can't get one without the other, so first comes government reform before better anti-trust rules can be enforced. Thirdly, I think we need more term limits. Members of congress get onto key committees, and once seated for a term or two, become entrenched and sequester enormous power. True, bad things happen otherwise - NAFTA, GATT, WTO, and possibly this American Union idea get passed without citizen oversight of our government.

What Magazines/Newspapers do you subscribe to?
OK The echo - creative name for a paper! Well, maybe they call it the echo because it's late?:laugh3: Sounds like the daily post is better. I do get National Geographic as well - it's quite good; better than ever, actually!

What Magazines/Newspapers do you subscribe to?
OK miss anonymous!:) (but I see your point - that could be sensitive information.) Since my local newspaper is owned by right-wing nuts (who get buttered up at the Bush ranch in Texas every year), I'll have to pass on the local/loco paper. Wish we had another choice up here..:\ But I do go to some of the blogs as well. Jason Kottke has a pretty neat one, if you're interested!:)

Disappointing
It is true - sometimes it takes a challenge to get motivated, or some splash of cold water in the face to feel again.. Perhaps they've done that! Look at U2, and all the new leaves they've turned over in their years! So, I'm betting the new album will be great, and surprise us all!!:)

What are you thinking right now?
I'm thinking, "has everyone seen Weird Al's Parody of Coldplay's 'Speed of Sound'"? God, it's funny!:laugh3: (part of his song & video Polkarama!) - I just watched it on YouTube..:)

Clocks origin from a lute part
If anyone has the time, please listen to Yes - Wonderous Stories, and tell me if this is just Steve Howe / Trevor Rabin's lute solo I'm hearing 2/3 though, or if the keyboardist (Wakeman) is playing in sync as well. It's a very subtle part - not quite as simple as it seems at first, and I just get the feeling it's more than a lute solo. PS - 7-strings on a lute?
