I have a feeling the 'big finish' that's being described will come in the form of the final track on the album, running into each other, in a cool way. I'm confident that all these songs will be amazing when fit together properly on MX. That said, I already love this song. I voted 8/10, but I'm listening again and would probably go with 9.

I'll do it, whenever they come to Australia next, if they play this song, and if there's more coldplayers than just me there. XD

I can't help but think that even though a lot of the 'hardcore' fans seem to be complaining, it seems they are the 'loud minority', because a huge amount of people actually like BOTH of the singles released so far. In terms of shallow lyrics, I feel this is somewhat due to the fact the song is taken out of context with the rest of the album. My high hopes remain for MX, regardless of the 'songwriting not being up to standard'. If that's true about Vegas, I was not aware of this, and that sucks majorly, but surely the Oracle wouldn't trip up on something like that, it could have been 'explained' without contradiction... Sure, they could have picked a different vocalist, but I guess they just picked whoever they thought would be best for the song. I dunno. :P

You realise, it's entirely possible the version of Princess Of China with Rihanna's vocals was made BEFORE they performed it live? Which is what that reply implies. I don't see how the Oracle is pretending it never existed.. at all. And no argument as to why MTM was left off? We don't actually know much about the album and the story, if there is one, about the general theme of the tracks, so making this clear would probably spoil something.

Who am I conforming to? There's 2 clear groups here. Those who don't give a crap, and those who are denouncing coldplay as their favourite band as a result. I'm just saying, people who are judging this already are ridiculous. There's of course the possibility that you just read the first line of my post, which was me imitating 1/2 the userbase here.

I find it ridiculous that anyone is complaining about songs we haven't even heard not being on the record. Sure, I understand MTM complaints, I love that song.. but Car Kids? REALLY? Sounds like a horrible title anyway! Based on what is that going to be any better than anything we've heard of MX (which, by the way, is actually excellent).

Obviously there's a reason she's on the track, just go with it. Coldplay know what they're doing and how they wanted to make this album. You haven't even HEARD it yet.

Why would they change Major Minus? Like, really... Obviously they were happy with the song enough to release it already... If they weren't happy with the song as it is, why would they release it yet still make a 2nd version? We wouldn't have gotten it and they would have waited until MX to give it to us.

This sounds good.. but Moving To Mars isn't on MX, so it kinda ruins a bit of it... still, great idea though :P

Reign of Love was pretty good though.. If ANY song was useless on VLV, it's Chinese Sleep Chant, especially being tacked onto Yes, which is an excellent song. I don't mind having secret tracks, as long as they aren't filler like CSC was.

As long as it comes out at some point, I won't really mind whether it's on MX or not.. there should definitely be some kinda EP released later, or a bunch of actual B-Sides (but then we can't get a physical release! :( .. I don't want to lose ANY of the songs we've heard, at least not forever..

2nd album rerelease instantly gets a 10/10? Make believe is at WORST a 5. And as for green? Red is where it's at. They're not a consistent band, but there are some real gems, even now. You either love them and take what you get, or hate them. This is totally off-topic... all I meant is, if pitchfork have given Coldplay bad scores before... (and they're pretty average), they'll most likely do it again, it's a personal thing, yeah, but in such a way that not likeing something by a band initially means you'll put down the rest of their future work? That IS pretty biased. Coldplay is too mainstream for Pitchfork. And that's what I'm saying.. I don't agree with them. I form my own opinion and don't let what other people say affect them music I listen to, or the movies I like or the video games I play, etc...

ERGH, MTM is my favourite of the studio songs that we have.. I was REALLY hoping it would be on the album. Then why wasn't it on the CD single/EP for ETIAW? I want physical MTM! Hopefully they'll do some EP or something with all the songs that didn't quite make the cut like last time. I'm sure whatever we end up with will be awesome. You gotta have faith in the band! They know what they're doing in order to make this album as awesome as they can.
