That's kinda what I did when I first heard Violet Hill, I first listened to it outside while walking around my area, which is nice and quiet with some little lakes and greenery. As it's school time now, I probably won't be able to do that for this album...but I will listen to it in my room with my headphones. I like being alone for this stuff.

I did a rough add up of the songs that we have heard. It's under 33 minutes so far? That's more than 10 minutes left for MMIX, UFO, DLIBYH, and UWTB.

No no...I don't want to get into the discussion of "we already have MTM from the ep, we want new songs." Strictly speaking, if we never got MTM on the ep, which is better off on the album? If you know what I mean.

Both are relatively quiet, piano driven songs. Yet MTM has more depth, better lyrics, differing chord progression, unique chords. My point is, if we never got MTM on the ep (for those who argue for wanting new songs), should MTM have made the album instead of UIF? I know we just heard a live phone vid for UIF, but let's get real. It's honestly not going to be much different on the album, just clearer and crisper. I can imagine it already. Don't get me wrong, the song's alright, but it sounds more like a b-side. Lots of people have drawn many comparisons of UIF to previous Coldplay songs. MTM felt fresh and new to me, and still part of this MX era. Am I alone on this? :s

^I think/hope they will. They seem to be releasing the main stream songs as singles, but playing the other "more traditional" Coldplay songs live. Just like with ETIAW, then the slew of festival songs afterwards. Singles reach everyone, but it's mostly real Coldplay fans who pay attention to the live performances. So I feel like they will be playing them to make those who are worried feel better about the album. But we'll see...

Remember what Debs/the Oracle said about Paradise a while back: "It goes on to say that Paradise is more representative of what's to come on the album as a whole." Make what you will of that statement....

Well...just judging by the amount of posts in this subthread and the amount of views on youtube, this is probably the least popular new song. It wasn't my favourite when I first heard it either, but after playing it I learnt to like it. So I thought it might be the same for some people. Anyway, thanks for tweeting this Ian :)

They have the running man/fuzzy man tshirt on their website with the description: "...Running Man printed on the front and lists the dates from the current summer tour on the back." http://coldplay.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/Store.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=COLWEBUKWGBP&sku=COL52531 That better not mean that this guy's just a summer thing. I was thinking that if they put this on their site, surely they will perform the song during the real tour and that for sure this song was on the album.

I don't know...the live performance has the fuzzy man guy, of which there are already t-shirts available of. Surely it means this song will be performed during the actual tour...why put those up if they're not going to be on the album? MX + HLH seem like a good album opening as well. Here's to hoping, but I am a bit worried too.

I get the feeling this song will be one of the hits of the album, if not, THE hit. Most people will like it. At least I hope so...
