  4. good question. wiki says its bimonthly so i'd espect an issue this week i guess but i think this one is the guitar songs one so no coldplay
  5. go ana! (aka my future wife)
  6. nice review. 9/10 is pretty damn good
  7. here we go. 1. Life in Technicolour- 8/10- Good opening to ease into the album, but the fact that i know there is a version with lyrics will lead me to never look at this song the same way again. 2. Cemetaries of London- 9/10- One of my favorite Will songs on the album, even though every song is a Will song. This song will be the real album opener to me. 3. Lost- 10/10- Awesome. Great guitar solo, and i think this version is better than the acoustic version. 4. 42- 9.5/10- If i wasn't expecting the greatest song ever this would be a 10. The first and third part are phenominal with the middle being the weakest. I love how it comes full circle at the end. 5. Lovers in Japan- 9.5/10- Another great song, and this would be a 10 if the acoustic didn't come out and completely blow me away. But another great song. My favorite chris song on the album. 5b- Reign of love- 7/10- weakest part of the album but its growing on me. could have been left off though 6. Yes- 10/10- i love this song. Coldplays most sexual song! and all the instruments rock. Love it! My other favorite chris song. 6b- Chinese Sleep Chant- 10/10- Another awesome line. Love chris's kinda faded voice, very atmospheric. can't wait for this one live. 7- Viva La Vida- 10/10- Not my favorite but i still love it. This is the most popular song on the album iwth the public rightn ow and i understand. this is the song the album will be remembered for. 8. Violet Hill-8.5/10- Good, but not great. Should be awesome live. Chris's weak point vocally in my opinion. Jonny's solo rocks. 9. Strawberry Swing- 10/10- The surprise of the album. Noone saw this song being so good. It's so happy, i love it! Somewhat beatlesish, so i ain't complaining. 10. Death and All His Friends- 10/10- Pontentially the best song coldplay has ever written. The song is amsterdam like, which is awesome cuz thats currently my favorite coldplay song. but probably not for long with this one breathing down its neck. The sollo part rocks. and the choir is just amazing. the lyrics rock. its perfect. absolutely perfect 10b- The escapist- 8/10- The album didn't need to end here. Especially because i felt i had already heard this song with life in technicolour. I like the idea of full circle but this could've been better. Its still good though. Overall a phenominal album. Possibly not better than arobtth, but right there with it. Wort the wait for sure.

was this about coldplay or all the bands that have influenced them :dozey: crap review. crap crap crap
  9. i wish they hadn't released viva so early cuz thats a lot better than violet hill and i might have slightly killed it but i'll be fine as for the 13 tracks thing. they are trying to give the consumer more for their dollar if you're an itunes individual song buyer
  10. i'd be the worst tasting fruit so brigins wouldn't eat me

  23. Bo Diddley Dies at 79 Can't believe no one posted about this. it kinda slipped by me. no one gets less credit than they desreve than bo diddley. truly a legend. Bo Diddley dies at 79 Diddley beat will never stop Bo Diddley, the influential singer/songwriter often refereed to as "one of the founding fathers of Rock and Roll", died today at age 79 in his Archer, Florida home. According to a spokesperson, the cause was heart failure. The musician had struggled with heart-related problems over the last year, suffering a stroke while on tour in May 2007 and a heart attack in August. Affecting his ability to speak, the stroke prompted Diddley to return to his Florida home for recovery. The spokesperson said that he was surrounded by family and friends when he died. Public and private services are scheduled for this weekend. Diddley’s music influenced musicians such as Buddy Holly, who borrowed the bomp ba-bomp bomp, bomp bomp rhythm for his song “Not Fade Away.” The Rolling Stones later created a bluesy rendition of the same song as their first chart single in the United States in 1964. Many other artists copied elements of Diddley’s style, such as The Who, Elvis Costello and Bruce Springsteen. Born in McComb, Mississippi with the name Ellas Bates, the rock pioneer adopted the moniker ‘Bo Diddley’ from some youngsters during the time he spent growing up in Chicago, according to a 1999 interview. Known for his homemade square guitar, dark glasses and black hat, Diddley was an inductee into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, had a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, and received a lifetime achievement award in 1999 at the Grammy Awards. In recent years he also played for the elder President Bush and President Clinton. (Associated Press) Diddley appreciated the honors he received, “but it didn’t put no figures in my checkbook.” Leaving fans with much more than his musical legacy, Diddley said, “If you ain’t got no money, ain’t nobody calls you honey.”
