^ expectations will only ruin it if you think too highly for the album because then it's bound to not meet your expectations on some level. however, i don't think we're all going crazy in the sense we're building it up to something greater than it is... but we won't know yet till we actually hear it, which is the whole point of this thread :D it's a waiting game and i know we'll all win in the end :smug:

my first impressions was that it was very average. i didn't want to anticipate since vh could've been taken in many ways, and what i perceive it to be would most likely differ from someone else. however, after a few more views, i think it's great! i'd go as far to say i love the video. the guys keep their charm and sense of humor, and it really is quite artistic at time. great video guys! :thumbsup:

with those as your fav cp and radiohead albums, you are an interesting one indeed - must make note of you lol. seriously though, when it comes to x&y, on its own its great but as a 3rd coldplay album, no so much. it was received with mixed reviews, much more dramatic than those of vlvodaahf so i'm hoping i'll like this 4th album. in a few days i'll know for sure but all this waiting is driving me insane :freak:

Still haven't downloaded it. I'll wait till it's released in a few weeks here in Australia. The anticipating is growing and resisting the tempation is making it seem sooo much better :D Can't wait!

Hello everyone, it's been 12 hours since my last check-in here to keep me on track with resisting temptation despite feeling like everyone on here has the album and is listening to it right now :freak: It wouldn't be so hard if the forum wasn't dominated with reviews and polls on the album tracks....:\ I wanna listen tooooooooo!!! But I won't cheat myself with how far I've come and continue to wait it out. I will succeed :smug:

I am (still) resisting temptation and will have to wait TWO weeks till it gets released in Australia.......will I do it? lol I shall :smug: I can't wait to go to the record store and buy it, have it in my hands then run off like a little school girl to listen to it in my room :D I've not listened to any other songs besides VH and VLV only because the band have chosen to release those, so as for the rest, I have NO clue as to what they sound like and the unknown aspect is making me even MORE excited!

it's personal choice of course but i will wait till it's released here in australia. it comes out a little earlier than the sigur ros album so i'm avoiding temptation and waiting it out with the hope it'll all be worth it, and knowing these bands, it is :smug: when it comes to b-sides though, sharing is caring and waiting is not an option :lol:

i felt this way earlier. if all the email notifications came out, it would be nice to know how many coldplayers won and also where they are from (location-wise). i don't mind not receiving ticket (anymore lol) but it still kinda gets to me how many winners there are from within the NY area. not that that's a problem, in fact i'm happy for you all but then why make the contest open to all? surely they would've taken into account the thousands who live outside these places to enter etc etc, but that's what they stated and hm, just think it was a little misleading... though i could very well be wrong should there be others who've won from other places but who just so happen not to post their winnings. all good. just hope everyone who goes enjoys the show in the end : )

when i first heard it i thought it was pretty different. after a couple more plays i reckon it is fairly good. however i couldn't see it on parachutes, it just has a completely different feel to it and just wouldn't have fit in. it is a pretty funky song though lol.

^ I like your optimism and that's the way I'm taking it too lol :D The MSG show was not advertised exclusively to those only in the US, if so then why have the 'country' option there? I'm positive the shows in the UK are only for those residing there, however. In the meantime I'll continue to refresh my inbox and hope for the best lol (still possibly delusional :wacko:).
