  1. Cool. Rihanna has a very expensive dress, but can't actually sing.
  2. If anyone still needs a link (red carpet): http://tvpc.com/Channel.php?ChannelID=7772
  3. I'm watching (something) here: http://tvpc.com/Channel.php?ChannelID=7 If there is an advertisement in the screen, there is a very small 'x' to close a little above the center of the ad.
  4. No, I'm not. I'm saying that because I know the Oracle gets tones of questions and delivers us such a great job answering them. Why would we increase this ammount by sending a non-question? There are quite a few other options. It's just a suggestion, by the way.
  5. Please, don't use The Oracle either. It was strictly made for questions (and making up a question to show the video is also not a good idea).
  6. If you're going to e-mail Debs, please make sure that only one person does it and only one e-mail is sent. The same applies for twitter (please, don't sent millions of tweets to @coldplay and specially to personal accounts of their staff members)
  7. Saw it thanks (I was saying thanks for that in the edit)^^ For myself, music is more than entertainment. Just personal opinion. Call it naive if you want. This is end of discussion for me because I think this is no longer helpful for the thread and the project. For those taking part, I hope you have fun and that your love and admiration for Chris is reafirmed
  8. Muse - Knights of Cydonia (live - V Festival 2008)
  9. 'Common' doesn't entail 'respectful'. Considering the general tone of your posts in this thread, the negative sense of this word would be the first to come to mind. As much I respect your opinion (except for the 'He's our entertainer' part) on the matter, I respect what other people think as well. I'm pretty sure people would know that Chris may not see the video, but it doesn't mean they can't show how he's important for them. Edit: thanks for moving the thread!
  10. I think you have a point and what you said is relevant to what's at stake here. On the other hand, it's understandable that fans would think of making something special to Chris, since he plays an important part on our lives. People have different ways of dealing with that. Therefore, no need to use words like 'rabid' or being offensive.
  11. I think they call him 'creative consultant' or something. Not sure if it's just symbolic because there was one time (I can't specify it though) when Phil was indeed their manager, but resigned for a while because he was overwhelmed by his duties and that made the band realise how Phil was important. Anyway, nowadays he probably helps the band make this kind of decision you are discussing.
  12. ^I second that. Hi, maybe you could add some other option. People who haven't met Chris or haven't been to a concert may not have the resources or may not feel comfortable about sending a video of themselves. Although some people may be very keen to take part in the project, they may not fit in any of the categories above, so maybe it could be a good idea to add something else. Also, if a mod could please move this to the Coldplay section, it'd be very helpful because I think there may be quite a lot of people who don't check the lounge often, but always check the Coldplay one. Thanks in advance! Edit: One more thing - there are two different deadlines, one in the picture and one under it.
  13. I'm about to finish Carl Sagan's "The demon-haunted world" and I've just started "Burmese days", by George Orwell (Brazilian translations, to be more precise).
  14. :laugh3: Well, the fact that the Muse subject pops up during a session with your therapist kind of shows that too, doesn't it? I like Undisclosed Desires (but a lot less than other songs), I just feel it's out of place in The Resistance. I have the same feeling about I belong to you. By the way, hello, people. First post in here. I don't know why I haven't listened to Muse for such a long time. I'm glad I'm listening again.
  15. Amazing!  Even the details in Jonny's teeth are perfect (rather creepy comment, sorry).
  16. I'm not against success. I think Coldplay deserve no less than every single person who has some connection to their songs, to whom their music is meaningful in some way. I'm also not against changing their "music style" (whatever that means) as long as it is needed to express something in their songs. What I'm talking about is people doing whatever is selling a lot or topping the charts. In my view, this doesn't apply to Coldplay. What I'm not 100% pleased with is that sometimes I feel Coldplay are heading for 'big' rather than 'great'.
  17. Forgot about Muse in my last post. For some unknown reason, it's been a while since I've listened to them. Hopefully, I won't be caught making the same mistake.
  18. Thank you guys for the wallpapers (and for the mirror link)! I had never seen the band photo in the last row and I was looking for the Mylo Xyloto colourful wallpaper included in the official tourpack, but without the 'Mylo Xyloto'.
  19. People's Choice Awards ceremony was yesterday. Coldplay lost in the category 'Favourite band' (it was Maroon 5 who won) http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1677156/peoples-choice-awards-winners-list.jhtml
  20. Drunk Guy: Hey, Will, you iz my friend. Will: Yeah :blank:
  21. Editors and Keane
  22. 21 House MD (I'm not a huge fan and I don't watch tv a lot, but that's my favourite)
  23. Thanks for answering. Either way, it's brilliant!
