The Scientist Chords
In the song I don't think he plays high up on the neck... on the recording, I mean... if you listen you can hear the ringing F chord, which sounds to me like the 1st fret barre of F

Samick Interceptor (Strat copy)
Samick... eh... I think those are made in Korea aren't they? In any event, you would be much better off getting a MIM Fender Strat than a Korean or Phillipine made one...

k is this the chord Thom is playing?
Mmm not quite... Dmaj9/F# is correct, but I dont think Thom lets the D string ring... sounds muted... because in actuality the chord is supposed to sound like an F#m, and if you let the D string ring throughout that chord, it will sound too much like a D, and won't create the same feel

- Is it possible to connect a guitar directly to a PC?
Forget the amp, you need either a sound card with 1/4" input, or a USB interface. Either one... That SB Audigy will work, though it may not be the best for the job...- Scientist Piano tab?
In standard tuning the verse is: Dm-Bb-F-C/F The chorus: Bb-F- C/F (bass stays on F), then the second time it holds on C In between bit: F-Bb-F-F After the in between bit is the outro chord sequence: Dm-Bb-F-F If you need other help just PM me- my roomate just walked in...

it was a while after the superbowl... it was a post-game party, is a better way to describe it- Is it wrong...?
 I just watched the post-game show for the Super Bowl last night, and Coldplay played. And they played Yellow. Now, I never used to really think of it as one of my faves. But the stage prescence that Chris emitted turned me around totally. Now its probably one of my top 3 fave songs by Coldplay. Is it wrong for it to be one of my faves, even though it was terrible overplayed, and their big hit.- PoLiTiK
well think about it. I went down there, met all these amazing people, and instantly became best friends with like 25 people. Obviously, there were female attachments too. So you can imagine having to leave that behind, knowing that you wouldn't see 95% of them again.- Hello all

I find the last bit where it goes to that melancholic cadence(pardon the musical jargon.. LOL) sounds like quite almost tropical... like the way the guitar is played... Then again, maybe its because I listened to it on the way to Mexico, standing looking at the stars while i was IN mexico, and then on the way home(which was too sad to even write about)- Hello all

Ok heres my take on "The Scientist": Whomever the character is, they think in terms of tangible objects, notions, and so forth. For example, science is something we can see and measure and interpret objectively. However, the character does not see until it is too late that love is more tangible than any math equation, or biological being. One can also interpret love, but subjectively. The character then finds that they think too much in terms of practicality and logistics, when really they should be following their heart. Its the never ending battle between something concrete, and something of a notion. But really both exist. - Is it possible to connect a guitar directly to a PC?
