Maybe we can arrange dedicated 'weekends' to run in between monthly 'weeks'. :P I suggest creating a nomination thread in which people nominate 10 bands, all of which will be processed and arranged over the next few days. Briggs is da boss man of this operation of course, but if anyone likes that idea I don't mind being the one who wades through the crapload of suggestions.

I wouldn't even suggest a week for arcade fire because they just haven't created enough material. I see a 'week' as somewhat of a lifetime achievement dedication. A look back at everything they've done which you can't really do with bands that are less than 10 years old or only have 2 or 3 albums.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe we can have people nominate bands, make a poll with each band listed, and out of those select the 12 most popular to have 'weeks' throughout the year.

There's really nothing wrong with having dedicated weeks for all kinds of bands so long as enough people are interested in each band. Key is to space them out (maybe a month apart or whatever)

If this ends up happening I call The Unforgettable Fire.

It would have to be more like two weeks with 12 albums and all...

I like how they've come down from the springsteen/u2 plateau they were at for neon bible to the straight up indie guitar rock I've heard from the new album. The vibe from neon bible was great but non-sustainable. The big songs had similar chord structures running through different gimmicks, like the organ in intervention. By what i've heard of the new album it's a bit more down to earth and organic showing what the band can do with more straight up song writing.

Yesterday evening was bizarre. The sky created its own sepia effect putting everything in a beautiful haze unlike anything I've ever seen. Took a couple pictures but they didn't really capture it.

Kansas City beats Man U while being a man down. Granted it was a very different United roster, but it's still pretty impressive.

I got so pissed at those scroll-over music ads. I was in best-buy the other day, and the chorus from one of the songs advertised here started playing. Instinctively I started spouting profanities like I used to when it interrupted songs I was listening to on my laptop.
