WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
Only during periods of time when they're working on something. Lots of people have gone during "off times" and not seen anything because there is nothing there to see.;)

WE'VE FOUND THE BAKERY!! *NOW WITH PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF* UPDATED FIRST POST!*
I wouldn't count on seeing much of anything though, as the band will be on tour during that time. They're only around when they're actually recording in the studio(s)

I'm sure a lot of people don't wear their shirt when meeting one of the boys.:wink3::laugh3:

Ah. Sometimes it's hard to pick up on the full intent of things in these comments.:)

It was mentioned before they do own a significant stake in the company. It's my understanding they provided the capitalization needed to get the company off the ground.

At least he's finally comfortable acknowledging their relationship in public. He really seems a lot more at peace with himself these days.

Sore throat stopping my singing
I really don't know that much about them other than that they're fairly common among singers and that they can be quite debilitating. I think they're way down on the vocal chords where they're invisible to the naked eye though. Usually, people need surgery to correct them, and there's no guarantee that you'll get your range back afterwards. (Julie Andrews famously lost her ability to sing from nodule surgery). I'm not sure if rest helps, but it's probably a good idea not to put any strain on your voice until you can get a proper diagnosis from a Doctor.

They have made several comments that imply the current tour will end after the 2012 dates though, so they'll probably get into the studio a bit quicker. It doesn't really take them 3 years to make an album, it's just that it takes 2 years after the previous release for them to actually get back in the studio. That said, I still stand by my previous comments that wait times for new material almost always increase rather than decrease as a band ages and becomes successful.

Announcement of The Band's future?
Personally, this is the first time I'm really confident that the band probably has a long term future, as they (especially Chris') really seem to have become comfortable in their own skin as of late.

I'm not a super big RH fan myself. The reason, I like O'Brien is that I'm more into guitar music, as opposed to their electronic stuff, and he's the only one that's still keeping them grounded in a guitar based sound at all. Nothing against all that electronic stuff, they're very good at it, but it's just not my thing.

Honestly, I think he sounded more like Ed O'brien in the early days. He was never quite enough of a pedal hopper to properly emulate Greenwood. And even though I'm not crazy about the one direction thing, I think in a way, that type of music represents a very organic part of Chris' musical interests and influences, so if nothing else, it shows he's more at peace with himself than he was before.

What makes you say 2?

The biggest improvement IMHO is that they are more of a proper 4 piece now. Chris and Jonny have always been heavily featured, but lately Guy and Will have had more of a chance to contribute up to their full potential as well, so I hope if they do go with the "roots" idea, I hope that trend continues.

It's not a straight loop effect though. It's supposed to simulate the sound of an old viynl LP.

No it's not. My point was that at this point, some 14 years in and all in their mid 30's, Coldplay have moved beyond the stage where they are a hip, young band, and are firmly on the road to becoming elder statemen, like those two bands. Financially, there's absolutely no pressure on Coldplay to produce something, so they will probably not produce anything particularly fast. That's not uncommon at all.

I knew I'd heard all those quotes somewhere.

Article: Man, I Used To Really Love Coldplay
I'm sorry, but this arguement simply doesn't wash. Coldplay's older material already had about as much commercial mass appeal as it's possible to get. Artists can only "sell out" if they're not a commercial juggernaut to begin with. If that was their motovation (and I see no reason to believe it was) they needn't have altered their sound at all. Coldplay's audience, on the whole, is not any younger now than it ever was. If anything, the biggest segment of their audience (at least in North America) is the Triple A crowd, which is primarily composed of slightly older adults.

What (and more importantly who) determines what the difference is between those two terms?

Announcement of The Band's future?
There are more than just those two. Many of them have turned out to be at least somewhat true, but yeah, some of them are bogus.

Sore throat stopping my singing
Hate to say it, but I've known a couple people who had nodules, and you have all the symptoms man. Good luck with however it turns out.:)
