"Big Coldplay announcement due next week"
Don't they have live dates next week?

Article: Man, I Used To Really Love Coldplay
I would agree (about the bias not the album quality;)), but to be fair, that same statement has been used a ton of times to belittle anyone who dares to admit they actually like MX.

Coldplay's Concert Merch Table
I haven't gone to a show on this tour yet (soon!), but that all sounds pretty much in line with how it's been on previous tours. Though I would add that it all more or less tends to end up on the internet eventually, even if it's just people flagging them on Ebay.

OT, but does anyone know what type of FX Cymbal he's using on the far left of the photo. It's the first time I've ever seen him have anything beyond the most standard set up in his kit.

And that's just one more reason why I love you. I stumbled accross the photos on tumblr and not only does Will look p$#$ed (understandably), but Rex looks upset at the photos being taken.:( That sucks, frankly.

Hurts Like Heaven 5th MX Single
Eh, I'd say Charlie Brown goes neck and neck with it in that regard.

"Big Coldplay announcement due next week"
Usually no, especially not when a band has several months of commitments still on the calendar. That said, it could still be a hiatus or something equally unpleasant without being a split per se. I'm not saying I think it's going to be anything of the sort, but if it was an amicable split, along the lines of "eh, we'd just rather do other things for awhile", it could very well include a press conference.

Coldplay's Twitter
Will always seems to have such a sense of history.

Jonny Buckland gives Coldplay disc to Pantymwyn village hall restoration fund
I seriously need to think of something to get a grant from Coldplay's foundation.:laugh3:

Hurts Like Heaven 5th MX Single
I think it might not be a full single. In the past, most of the late singles from CP albums have been released to radio only, though some of those did get singles. Still, if true, it's probably one of the better choices from the remaining songs to close out this cycle of singles.

I ran across a lot of pictures of Nico at one time because they were on a blog I frequented for non-Coldplay purposes. (As strange as that may be.), but other than that, I've never really seen pics of the CP kids. I hadn't even seen what Will's wife looked like until someone posted the video of the band leaving the Hollywood Bowl. I've seen a fair amount of Jonny and Chloe becuase they also pop up from time to time on a blog my girlfriend likes, but that's the extent of it, of course I don't go looking for such things either.

Announcement of The Band's future?
Appearantly, other more respectable music news outlets are now also reporting a major Coldplay announcement next week, but the timing seems to be perfectly in line with ComiCon next week, so it's probably something to do with the MX comic.

For my part, I think that these were probably handled in the right way. The photos were already taken, and would've been regardless of if they were posted here or not, yet they were tastefully cropped so it was just Will, and not his son. If someone's really that interested in that part of the photos, they're easy enough to find. (as are photos of all the bands kids), but IMHO that's just beyond not cool, so I'm glad they usually don't get posted here.

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
The Fender one is actually decent. It provides useful info, in a format that's not totally dumb.

I googled it, and while I didn't enlarge the thumbnails, his son does appear to be standing next to him. I guess whoever posted them here cropped him out, because for the most part people here aren't disrespectful creeps.

The one for HiWatt? Don't bother, it's abysmally bad for such a major brand.

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
"I thought Jonny endorsed Fender guitars...?" I'm really not sure if he does or not. He had a branded promotion earlier this year, and is generally given the amount of attention on the website that they usually reserve for players in their endorsement program, but he's not on the official list of endorsers, nor is Coldplay as a band. TBH, I thought Guy did endorse HiWatt before reading this, given that he's all over the HiWatt website. I

The Sun reported this too. Their only info: "It probably won't be a split".

Post piccies of the sexy Mr Berryman..
It's weird that Guy has the first picture on their scolling gallery of endorsers and is heavily featured elsewhere, since he is "not an endorsee". Though it makes sense, since the guys have historically not been official endorsers of any gear. (Except for Will.)

Is his son with him in one of them? I guess that explains why he looks so agitated.

Just found this cool piece on Will. It's 10 years old, and I found it very interesting, though it probably can't compete with shirtlessness. http://www.drummagazine.com/features/post/will-champion-just-right-for-coldplay/P1/

Article: Man, I Used To Really Love Coldplay
I'm not saying that it's unreasonable, only that a site like this is going to attract some people who will respond negatively to that type of thing, and that's normal.

Shirtless Guy just may be demoted!:laugh3: You can really tell he's lost a lot of weight in these pictures though. All the guys seem to be getting into phenominal shape lately. Makes me feel even worse about skipping the gym today.

LP6
They had the tools and back in 1998-9 the juice to make a legitimate run at the title, they just wouldn't have been able to do some of the stuff they did, would have had to tour a lot more, and work on developing a stage pressence a little more "showbiz" than what they had. Clearly Tom wasn't cut out to do those things on a personality level though, and that's cool. Their early guitar based sound wasn't nearly as experimental or unique as they became post 2000. I guess my whole attachment to Coldplay becoming a big world eating mega entity is based on the fact that IMHO the world does need one band like that to carry the torch of over the top rock sillyness, and U2 aren't going to be around forever.
