So Facebook announced a the F8 keynote yesterday that they were giving your profile's the most dramatic facelift since the site started in 2004. The beta is only available to Developer's at the moment but if you know how, it's easy enough to get now The link in the spoiler above works perfectly, and incase you don't want to change it up just yet, I've taken a screenshot of my own updated profile for you to see so you can get a feel for how much things are changing. Personally I really like it, I've spent about half an hour playing about with it and utilising the timeline feature to the right at the top of the screenshot, to go back to when I first opened my account and see what I was up to back then. It really does work and though I know the majority of people complain whenever FB changes anything- I think once they get a feel for it, people will really love this. What are your thoughts? do you care or not, and will you be following the link above to get started right away? post your thoughts, I'm just interested to see if there are any other geeks out there with me! When I met Chris I spoke to him about it and he said it was originally a sister song for Christmas Lights, so if they were going to release it, it would have been as a B-Side to that. Though I did tell him I thought it should be on the new record and he said they should play it live.. which he kinda did a few times.

This will almost certainly be a single and i'll tell you why. because everything Rhianna releases goes directly to #1 on almost every billboard and chart in the world, and not only that but it stays there for weeks. If both coldplays and rhianna's audience bought this as a released single, it would give the lads their second number 1 and make EMI a LOT of money.

Really loved this interview. You can't help but laugh at his crazy anecdotes, like building a great horse and cart as cars are coming in! ha. also, it felt really raw and really honest at the end when he talks about not caring about being a relevant musician and just wanting to play with the other boys.

M.M.I.X being a short intro is something that was rumoured when the tracklisting was released, UWTB is rumoured to have a slow but building tempo because every other final album track has, all that was mentioned about POC was that rhianna's voice was subtle- this is hardly classed as information at all. We know nothing about DLIBYH except that she compared it to another song off the album. I'm sorry but none of these statements that she provided are anything less than vague. I'm not saying that I don't believe her. I'm saying that I find it of no substance that she didn't know anything about AHT or UFO (songs without news or even rumours) AT ALL. not a sausage. she has no physical proof she was there. I don't know, maybe a photo of her outside the hotel, or at ACL with her husband. something, anything tangible. There's just nothing and right now and it's crazier to believe this stranger than to find a reason to believe she was actually there. and then there's the fact that she didn't mention it until somebody posted a thread about it asking if somebody was there. so... what? she was able to come online while she was at ACL and post about being there and then say 'wait two days for the review as I can't get online or talk about it' - she couldn't even say something like 'I will say this.... M.M.I.X is an instrumental.' or 'Rhianna is good'??? in fact she came online again to say how funny the thread was the day after but that we'd still have to wait another day for the review?? no, I'm sorry but c'mon. I know it's a lovely thought given that it's a positive review and so many people are hating on it already before it's release, I just think a grain of salt should be taken until anything she says can be substantialised.

Chelsea.... Chelsea.... c'mon, you would have blurred alot out through the rush of excitement but you'd still remember SOMETHING about one of the songs that was unheard. We got absolutely nothing new. stop being so nice! :P

I wouldn't go out on a limb and say that it's DEFINITELY a fake review. but I would doubt it is real. After so much of a spotlight on the new songs played this summer you would expect the reviewer to take in as much information about the unheard songs on the LP. I think the reason so many people are keen to believe it is down to the fact that it's a positive review.

I don't know but this is excellent news! It might mean a leak is out three days earlier too (hey, fuck you for judging me, I've already paid for my preorder :P )

I really don't want to come across as being ungrateful or rude, and you're obviously a great writer—but I'm leaning more towards this being fake now based solely on the fact that Mylo Xyloto is a full track with lyrics and this is confirmed. Since you remembered enough about it to talk about it in your review, you would notably have mentioned how it is different to the 40 second prelude we have been enlightened with this summer, however, you go on to say how it is the same as we have been given, which, as we know, it isn't. At all. Again forgive me if you feel like I'm out of line. I just want to sit on the fence. Also, if it turns out I am wrong and you are right, I will donate an old pair of shoes to charity. I feel this is a fair trade. :P

No need to jump on people's backs there, bucko. When we were on the boat for the Christmas Lights video we had to sign an EMI contract which stated that we couldn't even come on to this forum to talk about what it was where it was when it was etc etc etc. I'd say being able to take down notes with the intention of distributing them publicly is very much along those lines.

surprising that they'd allow non-journalists to take down notes at a listening party. I don't know. I hope this is legit, I'm inclined to think it is.

I don't know if it's been mentioned but the new Blink 182 album leaked the other day 11 days before the legal release. They had massive protection over it with it being a 'comeback album' so even if Coldplay has similar protection, a leak would be completely plausible in about two weeks.

I think they'll play exactly the same set as the did for the new year taping last night with the exception of DLiBYH in place of one song.
