so how much are tix this year? its a 3 day fest so im guessing alot more than previous years. im guessing the strokes will headline sunday night. the pixies for saturday night? powderfinger on friday night would be amazing??!!!?? we'll just to wait until tomorrow morning to find out!!

^^ i listened to Teen Dream straight after and i must say at the moment teen dream is winning. this is on par with laura marlings second effort.

cant believe this is going to be their last album together!! arhghghgh why do all good things have to come to an end this is such a solid record from start to finish. sound of silver has its weak moments and its moments of brilliance. this album doesnt fall short of brilliant for even a second.

dont get too excited. its hell trying to get tix to splendour. so lets get over that hurdle first before thinking about who you're going to see lol. i wonder if the move up into queensland will have any impact on ticket demands......

never thought much of richard ashcroft solo. cant see 30 seconds to mars going down well with the splendour crowd. goldfrapp has become super-poppy of late so they've kinda lost me too. im really hope for at least one other really good act to go see at a sideshow.

^^ how would u rate that album compared to their first 3 efforts? ive heard most of the album and it does feel like a step up from their previous works but still struggling to leave much of an impact on me.

at the moment the album is about a 7.5 to an 8 for me. its alot of fun to listen to but not the most memorable record. and wooo thats 2000 posts for me!!!

take some acid and try again. it works. trust me.

it gets better every day you use it!! ive had it for 3 months now and im still discovering new awesome things about it all the time!

I guess we don't live in a beautiful world after all...

oh well i'll guess i'll have to do every festival other than glastonbury that year! i did think it was a little suss having glasto in the same yr as the london games.

im not sure how much i love this forum as a whole but the World of Music section has basically taken over my life over the last year or so. it basically dictates my music tastes and its always the first place i go whenever i turn on my computer. so you guys have my vote.

the girls i went with really wish they had spoken in french at my show hahaa now if im not mistaken 28 euros is about 50 australian dollars. i paid 85 australian dollars. but there are two reasons for that. it would cost them alot of money to move all their gear from europe down to australia (23hrs on a plane) and the venue they played in was quite large by their standards (close to 6000 capacity) so the venue hire would of been very expensive. and i dont like to think too much about how much i paid to go see a band while im watching them haha, ruins the night! ps. economist on here feel free to throw in some demand-supple theories over my explanation.

im hanging out for the ticket prices. im not the biggest powderfinger fan, so im really hoping to catch this farewell tour for less than $80.
