  1. available meaning how many were put on sale. so 18000 out of the 27000 were sold and 9000 remained unsold. which means they only sold 66% of the tickets, very disappointing for one of the biggest bands in the world. i'll be interested to see the figures from the sydney shows cos i saw a lot of empty seats last night.
  2. but if everyone around you is moshing/jumping/dancing and you're not, i think priority goes to the moshers. and from my experience a big part of enjoying a rock gig is the dancing and leaving dripping with sweat and nearing dehydration. of course if you go to see fleet foxes and there are people bumping into you, then i can see why you might get annoyed.
  3. some terrible numbers from the band's 2 night stay in brisbane Revenue - $2,306,030 Tickets Sold - 18,810 Tickets Available - 27,370
  4. no offense mate but american crowds have nothing on south american crowds and a big part of the appeal of that film was the incredible energy that the argentinian crowd had and worked really really well in 3D.
  5. im seeing them monday and working at the stadium on tuesday :D cant wait!

  10. amazing footage from sydney night 1 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEZJV8KMX-M]YouTube - Muse - Knights of Cydonia (Encore) - TOP QUALITY - WHOLE SONG[/ame] oh yeah i also drank water in the pit for the first time ever. i felt like a bit of a sell out. but then again this is muse's resistance tour :P jokes jokes!
  11. Filter is a very very good magazine. it only has 5 issues a year but it is a great read.
  12. maybe instead of restricting this to just rolling stone maybe make it the "music magazine thread" so people can post stuff from all sorts of music mags that they read.
  13. i was really disappointed they dedicated CE to the founder of WikiLeaks who is currently under investigation for allegedly raping two women. oh yeah and i screamed abuse at matt for not playing the piano intro to new born haha.
  14. ^^ yeah entirely possible. take out the first innings in brisbane. australia has hardly threatened englands batsmen.
  15. saw these guys tonight supporting muse. they played for less than 30mins but they were fairly impressive. the sound set up didnt exactly work for them and there were about 5 people in the crowd who knew their songs. not sure if i'll end up listening to them more after seeing them but you never know.....i just might.
  16. just got back from muse. it was pretty wild actually haha so i dont exactly remember that much lmao. ummm i got within 2 people of the barrier even though i rocked up after the gates had opened and made very little effort to actually move forward. umm what else. i went psycho when they played stockholm but i was anticipating a longer outro jam but didnt get it. i was the only person who screamed and shouted like a fangirl when dom and chris started helsinki jam (that drew some odd looks). headbanging along with chris was a lot of fun, i purposely stood in front of his area cos he is my favourite member of the band and most rock n roll. crowd was good but not over the top wild and crazy which is fine by me cos i need to back up now and give my all to linkin park in less than 48hrs and then u2 48hrs after that!! and have you guys discussed the set they played on the 2nd night in brisbane. insane!! but kinda weird at the same time. in some ways im glad i got the regular setlist but i wouldve loved to have heard some of the tracks on that brisbane set.
  17. ^^ you might want to stay well away from me at shows hahaha. just got from back 2hrs of crazy moshing at muse. it was a good passionate crowd but a little tame also. expected the moshpit to be a lot crazier than it ended up being.
  18. just got back from muse. incredible show. got to the barrier pretty much in front of chris and had a wonderful time imitating his brilliant headbanging skills. my shirt is saturated with an incredible mix of beer, water and sweat haha.
  19. ^^ dont forget bon jovi!!!!!!! hahahahaha
  20. dont forget U2 3D. most probably the greatest combination of music and film ever. with the growing popularity of 3D tv's i think they should really consider putting that on dvd.
  21. 17 lists uploaded now. i might stop at 20.
  22. i think you can have a perfectly awesome "mosh" without any violence. naturally when you have thousands of people dancing in very close proximity to each other there will be some pushing and shoving, thats just part of it all. but pretty much all the pits ive been in, things have been aggressive without being violent. and out and out fighting is never acceptable in a pit.
  23. it really doesnt bother me that my favourite bands arent all over the charts and the radio. as long as i enjoy it, it's all good.
