No Code is my 4th fave PJ album but i never felt that the songs worked very well live. especially in front of big stadium or festival crowds.

ok so far these awards have been handed out Best Rock Album - Birds of Tokyo (its funny how bands seem to win awards for their worst albums and nothing for their best ones) Best Cover Art - A+J Stone Best Alternative Adult Album (what the #)@ does that even mean) - A+J Stone Best Dance Release - Yolanda Be Cool (these guys are going to be huge next year) Best Pop Release - Sia 7 more awards will be handed out tonight as well as the 4 public voted awards.

you have a really awesome taste in music and that is a great list and correct me if im wrong but every artist/band on that list is north american. and it makes me wonder does the music industry/ media over there pretty much focus on north american acts with little focus on overseas acts?

led zep and michael jackson produced similar hype in the last couple of years.

listening to Powderfinger Live in Sydney on triple m at the moment. they will be sorely missed :( but im glad they went out on top.

oh well. just means theyre an inferior human beings to us :D im not actually all that impressed with this Live on Two Legs thing. a live dvd wouldve been much more interesting. and when will they properly release dvd footage of their 1995 australian tour, im sick of watching the crappy youtube videos. and why didnt they call it Death on Two Legs, way cooler names. i guess it mightve given the impression that they were planning on retiring. sorry to sound like such a pessimist. but a live cd from a band who releases every show on cd isnt very exciting.

waking up the next morning a few bumps and bruises makes it all the more enjoyable! if i dont walk out of a show drenched in sweat and legs sore as hell i dont feel quite satisfied. thats why i loved seeing Rise Against.

yeah i got mine last week with my re-subscription letter. that reminds me i need to subscribe again so i can get my free live at the wireless cd. :D

new album w/ jayz is almost complete. should they release at the same time as twisted fantasy or wait til the hype around twisted fantasy dies down a bit then release it, maybe sometime early 2011.

^^ really?? i have loads of live bootlegs of coldplay stretching right through their career and chris swears a good 10 to 15 times in each show. ok when he swore on that VLV demo track (aptly named the man who swears) it was a bit of surprise ,but during shows its totally expected.

cant wait!!!! my expectations are going to be really high so i hope im not disappointed

i guess not so the people "around me" cos in a moshpit that is always changing. but a good co-operative crowd always leads to a great show. i think i wouldve enjoyed pearl jam a lot more if the crowd was a little more lively on the other hand mumford & sons (a band im not a huge fan of) was incredible because everyone was so into it!

wow im really surprised at some of these responses. i almost always listen to an album all the way through. even if there is the odd weak track or filler i deal with it cos thats part of the experience of listening to an album. i dont find it all that arduous to listen to an album from start to end because i usually have it on in the background while im doing something else. if i ever do give an album my undivided attention (a rarity) a great album is easy to listen to all the way through but i guess a longer below par album is difficult after 10 or 11 tracks.

^^ 3 great pieces of news!! new cut copy cover looks awesome, just as good as In Ghost Colours and thats saying something. if the four tet/caribou tix are a decent price i might go check them out but if Doves (who are also at playground weekender) announce a sideshow i will go see them instead. re bluesfest what a line up!! im amazed that with so many festivals all year round each and every one of them in the last few months and in the next year or so have produced great to amazing line ups.

i know this belong in the "band you cant stop listening to today" thread but this obsession has extended over many weeks THE NATIONAL'S MUSIC HAS TAKEN OVER MY LIFE!! EVERY SINGLE SONG IS BRILLIANT (well from their last 3 albums at least lol) what a band!!
