so far theyve slaughtered a promoted club, the team which came 16th last season, the team which scored the 2nd lowest number of goals last season, the team which came 17th and is now last on the ladder and another promoted team. yup. really impressive stuff.

its not quite fair to compare this album to Version. this is an album of original works not covers.

^^ yes cut copy is quite soft. the presets have a more club anthem sound going. take a listen and judge for yourself :)

good on berba!! would like to see a better angle on that oshea-torres foul which lead to the second goal. the commentators seemed very adamant that it was a clear foul which prevented a goal scoring opportunity. either way despite maybe 20mins of the game man utd were easily the superior team, at least in attack.

hate it when man utd go up by 2 goals. why cant we just sit on 1.

if u want something heavier then go for The Presets. in particular songs like Eucalyptus and Kicking n Screaming.

personally i recommend you check out The Presets and Cut Copy. far superior aussie techno. you should try Pnau also. Pendulum pales in comparison.

gotta admit i lost interest in this band around 2005 and whatever was left of that interest died after M2M. nevertheless because they were the first band i loved i decided to give this newy a chance. and its actually not as pathetic as some people are saying it is. theyve come up with some interesting concepts and sounds throughout the record. i might be going to see them in december. the tickets prices are ludicrously over the top. so i think im going to settle for cheap tickets.

Runaway is really growing on me. there are about half a dozen or so GOOD fridays left before the album is likely to come out. cant wait to here what else he has in store for us. by the sounds of things he is pretty much working on these tracks up until the friday. reminds of what jack white did with a few tracks from Get Behind Me Satan.

new GOOD friday song was meant to be Lord Lord Lord ft. Mos Def, Swizz Beatz, Raekwon and Charlie Wilson. Kanye tweeted a few hours ago saying "Swizz laying his verse....its almost midnight" im really enjoying following this project Kanye has running out of his Hawaii studios. it helps that the music has been so awesome. EDIT: new song is up on his website. ENJOY!

too much too fast imo. they were complete unknowns a little over a year ago. i think they only played their first gigs in early 09. now theyre traveling the world with massive critical acclaim to go with it.

limited variation + poor vocal range + simple instrumentation = punk like i said its not usually my type of music but i really enjoy the passion in the singers voice and his lyrics. Bliss Release by Cloud Control might just be top 10 material for me this year. i didnt have any aussie albums in my top 10 last year but i should have at least 3 this year.
