im still at least 2 months from putting together a short list. but it has been really interesting reading your lists so far, especially those of you who have listened to more than 20 albums this year. on the sufjan issue. i refuse to accept it as an EP but i dont think sufjan intended it to be taken as a proper studio album. so out of respect for sufjan i'll say that it shouldnt be considered for the album of the year list.

wouldnt say i bought it in "support" of radiohead. im sure theyre doing just fine financially. but i felt that i should own a physical copy of the album that changed my life. PS: woo didnt even notice i passed 3000 posts!

if you spend a bit of time here. you'll come to realise we dont have much love for mainstream artists. the more alternative the better. if that makes us snobbish elitists then so be it :D

great video :D This Is Happening is just such a beautiful album. and i havent said that about either of their previous two records. this one is in a league of its own, its smart and intelligent but touching at the same time. its bright and bouncy but warming also. in my humble opinion this is a true classic of our times.

i think she killed herself emma by trying to be a hot popstar. FAIL.

yeah the Glow in the Dark tour was a bit of a mess. my mate went to it and he said at some points it was the most amazing show he had ever seen then it just descended into shambles. or are u talking about his support of U2? my brother saw him there, he said it was awkward as he performed in front of a few thousand people in a 85 000 seat stadium. the fact it was a monday night didnt help.

they're all there for sunset sounds anyways. the only way they will start to announce brisbane sideshows is if the festival sells out really fast. which hasnt happened this year.

interpol doing the Enmore and the Palace. a massive downgrade from their last tour. what happened boys??!?!

they just announced Aus tour dates 4th Jan @ Enmore, Sydney 7th Jan @ Palace, Melbourne this is on top of headlining falls fests in lorne, marion bay, southbound in perth and sunset sounds fest in brisbane.

saw Four Lions last week. 10/10!! one of the funniest movies i have ever seen. you brits may not be very good at football but bloody hell you know how to make funny movies. hollywood could learn a thing or two.

its a dig at every band that does it. heck if i was in an aging band i would do it too. pearl jam did it last year, EMI did it on behalf of radiohead.

but he still hasnt got a name for it. i cant wait to hear his collab with Jay-z, Watch the Tapes. if power remix and monster is anything to go by we're in for one helluva EP. if Kanye nails it on this album i would say that he will most certainly go down as one of the greatest hip hop artists of all time. but please nobody tell him that.
