^^ i want to hear that from a man city fan. but i doubt i will. it just baffled me how many so called "experts" in the media were describing man city as the "real deal" and then claimed their predictions were justified after their 3-0 win over liverpool. if man city can keep a strong team together for another 2 or 3 seasons of course they can achieve great things. but now? i dont think so. man united have had a shit start to put it kindly. and i dont see us really kicking into our stride until december/january.

im assuming you'll be at the sydney gigs?? well they will be held in the west of sydney and an average summers day in that area (i live about 10mins from the stadium) you're looking at about (for your sake ill speak american) temperatures around 95F cooling down after 6PM and with ur level of dedication im guessing you'll be getting there early. if its a "hot" day you'll be looking at something over 105F. regardless, wear shitloads of sunscreen (or sun block i think u lot call it) and even though it might look very uncool put on a hat and a light coloured top/dress. of course if you're planning on getting to the venue after 7 or 8PM you'll get to enjoy a typically pleasant Sydney summers evening :D

yeah i'll be seeing muse on the 9th then U2 on the 13th AND 14th :D are you coming down? the sydney shows are going to be some of the biggest in the bands career with about 95 000 people at each one. and that setlist made for some pretty interesting reading. thanks for posting!

^^ have you seen them live in the last few years? daneil johns has gone from being one of the most awesome frontmen in australia to being one of the most arrogant and egotistical. it's a shame cos their music is still very very good.

just coming to the end of OK computer and it just hit me. radiohead sound a lot more like floyd than i thought. there are just certain elements in the tourist that scream floyd. am i alone here?

how the hell did they put nirvana over U2, floyd and queen. you can argue maybe none of those 3 bands made an album as influential or brilliant as nevermind (i wouldnt agree) but almost every other U2, floyd and queen album would shit all over nirvana's other 2 efforts.

did i miss something? what is everyone so upset about? i just compared the two setlists and there isnt a huge difference between them. both had 2 encores yeah one had one extra song. but they just exchanged butterflies & hurricanes (which i would kill to hear live) with citizen erased. first show got new born, second show didnt. but 2nd got maps instead of that twilight song. and soldiers poem was replaced with Bliss. of course i wouldve loved the 2nd show more but thats because i cant stand their new stuff.

but if they want people to remain interested while theyre on hiatus i think they might just need to do these special edition releases. not for the sake of making money but just so people dont forget about them.

my local broadsheet the Sydney Morning Herald actually reviewed the Live in Prague DVD today lol. it was basically 2 columns of radiohead worship and a bit about the content of the dvd at the end.

ok another GOOD Friday track has dropped so just to recap Power - first release from the forthcoming album sampling King Crimson and doing an amazing job with it. better than everything on 808s and up there with some of the better tracks on Graduation. Power (Remix) - the amazing track got even more amazing with the legendary Jay-Z in support and a bit of I Got The Power sampling. but after a few listens the track does tire a little, something you dont get with the original Power Monster - this track is one motherfucking ball tearer. it is one of the meanest crudest roughest and dirtiest songs i have heard in a very very long time. oh yeah and one Justin Vernon is in there somewhere. Runaway Love (remix) - features Bieber.....enough said Devil in a New Dress - a typical mid-album track from Kanye. nothing special but consolidates his status as one of the few true album album rappers out there particularly in the mainstream. See Me Now - this is the type of Kanye song i dont really like. its in a similar realm as Good Life from Graduation with a real rnb feel to it and features Beyonce, whose voice just does not seem to work with kanye's rapping. Good Friday - the latest release. another all star song with kid cudi and common helping kanye. thanks to Charlie Wilson this song is a throw back to late-registration-era kanye which is imo his peak. im hoping next week's release is a little more downbeat and darker. nevertheless the music released so far has been very very impressive.

mine would be Led Zeppelin The Beatles Rolling Stones Michael Jackson Bob Dylan (i only recently got blood on the tracks and highway 66 revisited, so he might go up to 4 if i enjoy those a lot)
