i dont think so. if they do it would be massively hypocritical as that was one of the main reasons they backstabbed Rudd. but knowing politicians anything can happen

greens will never get what they want cos they'll never have enough seats. but they can at least influence the major parties on certain things and hold the balance of power. theres nothing truly democratic about having the same 2 parties doing the same thing year after year. a 3rd major party (regardless of their stance) will make things fairer.

hi good to see that someone else started the election talk for me. the two major parties seem to have the exact same policies expect on the internet. labor wants super fast super expensive broadband and a super strict super stupid internet filter. while libs dont give a shit about either. i think im with labor on broadband but the filter idea pisses me off. it annoys me neither party cares much for climate change, gay rights and indigenous issues. since the Greens do to a certain degree care for those issues i think i might give them my vote in the senate. and dont get me started on the non-issues of boat people and over population. wht a fucking joke.

hate to sidetrack this thread too much but im curious to know. does this formula work for most people. do most of you find that if you like one band you tend to like another band who have a similar vibe to them? i love metallica but cant stand heavy metal music otherwise. i love fleet foxes but have struggled to genuinely love the whole indie folk era thats passing through at the moment. the same goes with a lot of other bands im into.

i've been absolutely obsessed with Total Life Forever this past couple of weeks. they sound like an awesome combination of bloc party and one other band i like, but i cant quite remember who.

that is the coolest thing about being a PJ fan. i know i always say this but i will never understand why other well established stadium trotting bands dont do the same thing. of course you will have the odd person calling other bands copy cats for doing the same thing as PJ but they will shut up after a while and the fans can enjoy this awesome concept.

i love Employment also but i didnt quite enjoy the Kasabian album but you're totally right about Hot Fuss, i know loads of people who loved Employment and Hot Fuss. they're both such great up beat melody heavy albums.

if he wanted to win titles and play with great players he should've gone to man utd, chelsea or arsenal. if he wanted to play Europa league with overpaid wannabes he has gone to the right club. i see milner lasting at man city for a season and a bit before he is replaced by some south american wunderkid.

there has always been a lot of empty and contrived music around. i hate it how people seem to think that music was perfect and wonderful until the 21st century when suddenly all music became shit. there is just as much shit music now as there was 50yrs ago.

^^ noooooo dont tell me about setlists!!! im listening to appetite as i write this. im only really going cos i have a couple of friends who are big slash n Gnr fans, i would've much rather spent this money on going to see the strokes but nobody wanted to go with me. but i need my mosh-fix so im going to get nice and close to the stage and rock out even if ive never heard of half of the songs.

im seeing axl in december so it will be interesting to compare the two shows. im hoping for a good 4 or 5 GnR songs. which velvet revolver songs should i check out before the show?

when i saw pearl jam live they didnt play alive, daughter, better man or last kiss (ie their 4 biggest songs) and i thought that was very cool. but most of the 40 000 people i saw them with didnt so that made me feel all nice and snobbish inside :D
