  1. 42.6 for me. Close enough, I guess. :)
  2. I've been playing guitar for around the same time as you, Stephen, and I find "Karma Police" to be fairly easy (didn't see if anyone else mentioned it). Look it up somewhere; I can send you a good link if you can't find it.
  3. If I had a band, I would totally name it Life Insurance (assuming it hasn't been done yet). PS, this thread is fantastic. :)

  6. Hate to interrupt, but just wanted to say hi and pose a question... First of all, I don't know too much of Radiohead's work, but everything I've heard from them is terrific. Admittedly, my first purchase of theirs was "In Rainbows" (I actually bought the CD, I didn't do the whole internet download thing, though that's a damn cool idea), and more recently "OK Computer". There's a lot of great stuff they've put out and I want to acquire more of it. That said, when I go to the store to buy the new Coldplay on Tuesday, I'm also going to pick up a Radiohead album. I've got it narrowed down to 2 albums, and I'm leaving the decision up to a bunch of trustworthy Radiohead fans who know much more about them than I do. The Bends or Kid A? I'm interested to hear what you all think. :)
  7. I don't have a link at my disposal, but I know for sure that ABC has picked up Scrubs for an 8th season. Technically, ABC has owned Scrubs all along but shopped it to NBC when they couldn't find room on their own schedule or some shenanigans like that. And as far as the season finale went, yes, it was aired out-of-order. I believe it was SUPPOSED to air as the episode before Kelso leaves the hospital for good, who would explain why he's magically chief of medicine again, but then NBC decided to use it as the season finale, continuity be damned. As far as I can tell, all of this appears on the Wikipedia page for Scrubs, so I guess technically I DO have a link after all! ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrubs_%28TV_series%29
  8. That's good to know. My first Radiohead purchase was "In Rainbows" (the actual CD, not the online download), and then about two months ago I bought "OK Computer" so I'd been wondering what to get next; obviously I've settled on "The Bends". Thanks for the advice :D
  9. ^ I'm not too sure what to make of that. My friend just got himself and I two floor seats (he can get pre-sale tickets through some Best Buy thing?), so I can assure you there ARE floor seats if that's what you're asking...
  10. ^ that's pretty cool! Last one I bought was "Narrow Stairs" by Death Cab for Cutie. Next ones will be VLV and Radiohead's "The Bends".
  11. That Robben goal was SICK!! Wow! Go Holland!

  16. How do you people find these threads that have been buried for years? :laugh3: Seriously though. Amsterdam is my favorite Coldplay song. It's such a gorgeous piano line and then at the end when it just opens up and everyone starts rocking out...man. Doesn't get any better than that. Easily one of my favorite songs of all time.

  18. I think the Cm MIGHT (MIGHT!) be an Ab...I have to experiment a little bit, but that's what it sounds like to me, and I have perfect listening pitch.
  19. In all fairness, however, if they were to release their best song first, then the rest of the album would be a disappointment. It's a ten-song album, meaning that half the album is better than Violet Hill and it gives us all something to look forward to. And in my opinion as far as the worst first single is concerned, it's tough to judge from an American standpoint. As far as I can remember, the four first singles WE got were Yellow, Clocks, Speed of Sound, and now Violet Hill (correct me if I'm wrong, guys!). Out of those, I would say that Yellow is probably the weakest by comparison, but I really do like all of these. When it comes to the UK singles, Shiver, In My Place, Speed of Sound, and Violet Hill, I would argue that In My Place is the weakest by comparison. Never was my cup of tea...
  20. I bought Muse's "Hullabaloo Soundtrack" the other day. Great stuff on that.
