  1. My one from April is dead, however the one from July is still able to light up. I'd change em to be safe, because it might die mid show.
  2. Im glad I get to see them preform it. I was in the middle section of the side the c-stage was on. Couldn't see anything with the way the Bell Center is built. Still excited for any Montreal footage, just for the "I was there!"
  3. Just added Deadmau5 too the list, playing a stadium in Vancouver.
  4. I think you are right, why would they ask for fan footage of UATW and Speed of Sound if they aren't going to use it? BTW I am also stoked as hell, I flew 3000 miles to see them in Montreal and Im getting some of it on film and CD...so worth it for Coldplay. Trip and concert of my life.
  5. Because Genesis is far better? Sorry, I hate Rush almost as much as Radiohead.
  6. Neil Young - Nov. 11th Paul McCartney - Nov 25th Bruce Spingsteen and the E Street Band - Nov 26th Bucket list will be nearly complete.
  7. Canadian Prog-Rockers. Think Genesis with a more annoying singer and weaker lyrics.
  8. Im in for the first time in a long time. To those who are worried their music isn't good enough who cares...you'd be surprised what people have in common. Just make it flow nicely thats all, pretend youre sending it to your new crush.
  9. NWA, Public Enemy, Kraftwreck, Deep Purple. Rush should never go in.
  10. Wedding Bells is MX...It also fits the pattern and it the "start of a story"
  11. Given that its the acoustic version of Mylo Xyloto it does make sense, but I dont know if its the heel of the album. Also I just listened to Moving to Mars, it has MX in it too.
  12. Now the question is what song is the lynch pin of the album? Parachutes = Trouble (Para-Para-Parachutes) AROBTTH = Politik X&Y = Fix You VLV = Viva La Vida We know Charlie Brown was that song for the acoustic record before Guy put his foot down and put it on Mylo. However before that, what song were they using as the key to the album?
  13. Paradise has really grown on me, I hated it, but now I think it's one of their best songs. From a musicians stand point its up to the times and ahead. I mean to all you haters. Paradise is the electronic version of Viva La Vida. Seriously though, Im willing to bet this one Guy and Eno spent hours on all the layers while Chris was fiddling on a piano. The synths are all rock solid thorough out, Guy is up there with Reznor for calibrating synths.
  14. Guy is the most talented one in the band. I know he does a lot of the secondary sounds on the album. Paradise is pretty much Guy's brain child. Guy also does most of the arrangements of the band. They all get production credits, but I believe him and Eno are the ones who helped Coldplay pull the 360 since X&Y.
  15. Princess of China is a modified MX. The intro is literally the same. Throw a couple different effects on the original MX and you get the PoC opening. To the person who said he cant hear it in Every Teardrop. The synth you hear before the synth kicks in with the main chords has it. On top of which so does Jonny's guitar after his initial riff. Its obvious to me starting at 1:08. This is genius and Coldplay pulled it off. Mylo Xyloto is not meant to be listened to one song at a time. This type of artisan should be hailed now a days. The way it flows and fits together as is, is brilliant. Give the album another 3 minutes of transitions and its a seamless song.
  16. It uses the same pattern all the way through, in every song. Paradise its the background synth and the violins. Charlie Brown it is the vocals (ever wonder why the accelerated vocals open the track) Us Against the World is Jonnys opening part paired with the organ. M.M.I.X. is simply a toned down version of MX. (Think Light Through The Veins) Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall is a tad bit trickier, but its hidden in a background track burried beneath so many layers of this song. Major Minus is in the solo. UFO is MX in my opinion I dont hear much difference at all, just the xylophones with the acoustic guitar. Princess of China is throughout the whole song. That pooping synth is a MX sample. Up In Flames the trickiest one to fit into this whole crazy puzzle. My friend figured it out. Reverse the piano. A Hopeful Transmission, if you dont hear it hit me in the face with a shoe. Dont Let It Break You Heart, well see AHT Up With The Birds, Jonnys main riff in the middle. Tell me that isnt MX.
  17. Viva - Joshua Tree Mylo - Achtung Baby Viva laid the foundation of past success and launched themselves into stardom. With Mylo they took a different more electronic approach to their sound and have set out to take over the world. Viva had modest simple stage designs, Mylo in a stadium is, my god.
  18. Right choice, from being there, best crowd ever.
  19. Im finally home and able to write my review of this amazing show. I flew all the way out to Montreal from Vancouver with Coldplay and Montreal itself playing host to an amazing trip. Thursday, the morning after I landed was a day full of excitement, especially when I wandered by the Bell Center and saw the postings on the door! I knew this trip would be memorable, and suspected the camera crew's to be there, but it was an amazing surprise none the less. Even more excited for Live 2012 now. Getting there early there was an amazing vibe around the Center. Talking to some fans and swapping stories about past Coldplay shows, many were shocked at our commitment to the band to travel as far as we did. The opener sucked. The crowd got me warmed up more. Now I pride myself on saying Vancouver crowds are amazing, the Montreal crowd was way better than any crowd in Vancouver. Ever. The wave before the show was mind blowing, I have never seen that at a concert before and it got me pumped. Then when 99 Problems started playing I did my rap and got amped. I air conducted to Back to the Future (I know other do it too!) Then the show began. What a show at that too. With it being my 5th show I feel like a season pro at Coldplay shows. With that said, I had never seen the band that AMPED to play a show ever before. Chris came out with more energy than normal. Jonny and Guy were inseparable. The crowd powered the show! A negative to seeing them so many times, is that all the songs aren't new to me. Coldplay fixed that. Yellow found meaning again dedicating it to Auora Colorado, with a stunning piano intro. Viva La Vida and Charlie Brown almost blew the roof off, and I wasn't the only one jumping in the stands! I am still speechless as to how bloody amazing the show was. A top notch show for a top notch city. Not only did I fall in love with Montreal, I fell for the band again and even harder. Well worth the trip, and to anyone thinking of traveling to see these guys, put Montreal in the poll position of places to go. The city is one of the best in the world not just for the band and environment. Merci Montreal and Coldplay!

  21. Hoping for round number two! It was unreal. If you look at the Live Transmission on Coldplay.com I posted all my pictures from where I sat. Blew my mind.
  22. The 5-Stars would be a place to start? Probably super close to the Bell Center.
  23. Yeah they have a few people on the look out. I got upgraded with pretty good seats myself. However it was because Andy came up to us and started talking to me and I asked where Miller and Phil were. My trip is all around just under a grand. However my friend has never been to a concert before and missed Coldplay in April and has regretted it since. So we booked it on a whim. Trick on upgrades, get to your seats as early as possible and look hardcore. I am wearing an I  Guy t-shirt, and my friend a Team Chris shirt. Two very straight males wearing these will get their attention.
  24. Flying in from Vancouver to see the show! So excited to see a show with a Montreal crowd. You guys have a lot to live up to to match Vancouver, but I know they will bring it. I remember reading reviews of U2 in Montreal and heard the crowd was unreal! So Im looking forward to being blown away!
  25. Going to the two Montreal shows. Flying in from Vancouver and Im at the point where I can't focus anymore. This will be number 5+6 seeing them. Praying to get upgraded again.
