Pearl Jam
I missed the show in Seattle, apparently Mike and Jeff walked in with the fans and chatted a few people up. Would have been so cool.

Pearl Jam
I saw that over on the 10c forums. They are all kind of doing their own thing right now. Eddie with his solo tour. Mike and Jeff with Tres. Mts. Im excited for the new album, usually solo stuff helps with big bands.

Thinking of moving across the ocean
So you all agree that I should move over to the UK though? I feel the need to leave Vancouver and find myself in the world. Yeah Glasgow gets all the big bands I'd see. Its essential since I'll probably miss Pearl Jams NA tour and Coldplays.

Thinking of moving across the ocean
So I'm getting to consensus that Glasgow is better. Like you said they have a good music scene which is important to me as I'd want to go see a lot of random bands...random to me now at least.

Thinking of moving across the ocean
Yeah I am 100% open to working anything and everything. Im currently a butcher, so I really dont know what I'd want to do. The wage isn't that great, but on par with where I am with adjustment. Like I said the program only offers two cities, I'd probably try to move out to Glasgow soon after. But for almost free they help with jobs, housinf, banking and tax info. I know a couple people going to school outside of London and they really like it. They have done lots of traveling .

Thinking of moving across the ocean
Im not planning on studying. Their are programs through student unions that allow you to take working holiday. So I'd work and play, no studying. Im doing this to avoid studying. I would only need to keep about 500 Pounds in my account, as I have next to free NA flying. Im trying to save up as much as possible now so I can have that when I land. Im young I dont mind living off cheap food and taking the sacrifices from that. Im just worried about housing costs, and getting a job, but this program should help with both.

Thinking of moving across the ocean
I am looking at doing it through a student exchange program. They help you find jobs, accommodations and help with all red tape stuff. The two sites they offer in the UK are London and Edinburgh. The only reason I would take London over Edinburgh is I would want to see Central Europe too. London is close to Paris and I can go from there. I have tentative plans to meet a National Hockey League Team in Moscow for a week or so. Im getting the consensus from people that London ain't all that great. So Im leaning towards the Edinburgh option right now. But Im 3 months from having the funds to get the Visa so I still have time to mull over everything. Still I like the help an opinions.

What are the costs of living like in London? Jobs easy to come by? I'd like to do an Into the Wild type thing, maybe through Europe!

Thinking of moving across the ocean
So I've just turned 19, and I am not going to school nor do I want to anytime soon. However I do not want to get trapped working in a grocery store for the rest of my life. I stumbled upon a concept that is new to me, but seems really cool. It is called a working holiday. I have always wanted to travel and see the world, mostly Europe. I live on the West Coast of Canada, and am looking to move to the UK. I have found pretty reasonable flights in. On top of which the UK government wants me to have $3000 CDN = 1600 Pounds. Which I believe I can save up rather quickly. So I know there are a lot of Briths and mainland Europeans on here. My question is for you, does this sound like something you would do? Is it a good idea?

Pearl Jam
Yeah it was $50. You get a t-shirt(30) and a free bootleg(10) and a holiday single on Vinyl(10) plus concert presale. For me its worth it...for now. When I see the tour dates it may not have been worth it as I plan on leaving NA in September and they aren't touring till around then...so I as well hope they hit Europe. As well you get web streaming of PJ radio, which is essentially bootlegs from over the years. Im listening right now. Red Mosquito from LA.

Pearl Jam
I created a playlist for a friend, its my goal to get her crazy into Pearl Jam. Here is the track list. 1. Long Road (Touring Band) 2. Corduroy (Lollapoloza 2007) 3. MFC (Touring Band) 4. Given to Fly (Gorge 7/22/06) 5. Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town (Gorge 7/22/06) 6. Jeremy (Live on Ten Legs) 7. Daughter (Gorge, Sept. 5/05) 8. Black 9. Just Breathe 10. I Won't Back Down (Tom Petty)(Gorge Sept 5/05) 11. Unthought Known (Live on Ten Legs) 12. Indifference w/ Ben Harper (Vancouver Sept. 25/09) 13. Wasted Reprise (Gorge 7/23/06) 14. Betterman (Touring Band) 15. Alive (Live on Ten Legs) 16. Yellow Ledbetter (Live on Ten Legs) I tried to pace it like a live show; and since it was live stuff that got me hooked I predominately used live cuts. I used Indifference with Harper since its suck an awesome version. I tried to build it with a soft opening song followed by a lot of the harder stuff. Then after Black tried to go with a lot of the softer/acoustic angst with Alive to kick the ass to the end. Ledbetter is a must close. Next playlist if she likes will end with Rocking in the Free World. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcxzIY3GpZw]YouTube - Pearl Jam w/ Ben Harper - Indifference (Vancouver '09) HD[/ame]

Pearl Jam
I live just an hour or so north of Seattle. My first Gorge event will be Sasquatch this year, Foo Fighters should rock it out! I can see him going over to Europe after. They like it over there. May not be Portugal but could be close.
-
Pearl Jam
Im only two hours from The Gorge, so I was really hoping it would be there. I still may pilgrimage to Alpine Valley, pretty far though. Ed's also been getting some great reviews from his Au tour right now! So here is to hoping for NA!
-
Pearl Jam
There is a rumored NA tour for Eddie this summer. Also the PJ festival is rumored to be in the Alpine Valley!

'Three biggest bands' set for Glastonbury 2011

Why Coldplay? (School project question)
1: What is your favorite song? Bad - U2 2: Why? Everything about this song screams perfection. This is a song that runs deep on a lot of levels. Bono goes to describes his argument to a loved one addicted to cocaine. Not only does it perfectly describe both sides, the emotion seeps through. On the Wide Awake In America version, you FEEL the passion Bono has. Easily the very best song, by one of the best bands ever. 3: In your opinion, what makes a good song? Mood and emotion. A good melody or drum line is all shite without passion. When you feel the passion of the guitar player ring through his notes, the anger of the drummer by how hard he hits the snare, the angst in the bass by how fast he is playing. A song cant be more perfect.

New Radicals - Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too I rediscovered this album. Purely amazing. Gregg Alexandre would still be on top today!
