Ricky Gervais on Chris Martin and Coldplay
RICKY GERVAIS' NINE COMMANDMENTS OF BEING NICE 3. …And always fight your friends' corner “I remember Karl [Pilkington] being annoyed about a couple of snide reviews for the first series of An Idiot Abroad, and I was telling him not to worry. These two journalists had slagged it off, so I looked them up, and they’d both written travel books. One had sold 700 copies, the other had sold 1,200. I said to Karl, ‘That’s why they don’t like you.’ It’s a similar thing with Chris Martin. I know Chris, and he’s genuinely the nicest person I’ve ever met, and he does sometimes take [any criticism he gets] to heart, which I just find odd. I say to him, ‘Look, it’s because you’re in the biggest band in the world.’ People might doubt his sincerity [with his charity work], but he’s entirely sincere; he genuinely worries about these things. This is no insult, but he’s rather like Derek in that way; he sees something, and he just cannot bear to not help that person. I find it odd the way you see people on Twitter or some snidey columnist saying, ‘Oh my god, don’t tell me Coldplay are bringing out another album!’ You think: ‘That doesn’t affect you! You don’t have to listen to it!’”

 this!

Theory: the “Ghosts” of Ghost Stories!
I think the ambient parts are the ghostbusters channeling their emotions through these noises. They're live-recordings of when they were clearing a house with scooby doo.

STOPS THE HATEs
Sometimes I just come here for a good laugh and boy do I get it!!

The Show-Coldplay-How-Much-We-Love-X&Y project
I couldn't believe it when Chris said they were only 60% happy with how X&Y turned out. Its a tremendous record and I wasn't one of those who criticized it after AROBTTH. The album has an amazing atmosphere and I loved it and still do. Some of their best songs and my favorites are on it. Square One, X&Y and Low are brilliant. A Message and Swallowed in the Sea more so.

Chris Martin on Zane Lowe (28-04-2014) - 8pm on BBCR1
All I know is watching him sad and uncomfortable makes me sad and uncomfortable a 100 times more so I couldn't say I really enjoyed the interview. I absolutely never want to see him like this again and hope his life is filled with absolute happiness and joy. Although he does write better music when he is in such state :D

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
I hope it never leaks. Stay patient guys! How do you think Chris would feel if we downloaded and listened to it before its due out?!

Ghost Stories, release date: 19 May 2014
Does anyone else think Chris's voice sounds different on this record?! Sounds more special; better. Theres this pain and agony at times that I haven't heard since AROBTTH days. Kind of like how Bono's voice changed from How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb onward after his father's death. He actually believes that was a miracle. We have very similar taste in music ;)

A Sky Full Of Stars!! (Out now - See first post)
After watching the live performance the song has grown on me massively. Chris's vocal and the melody are heavenly and Jonny works wonders again with his parts. I think we'll learn to appreciate it for what it is. I've decided I certainly wont skip it when it comes to listening to the album as a whole.

I'm nor sure which category it'll fit in for the Grammys!

Well clearly they're not even on it! Lets not overreact guys! This is probably the worst song they've done along with Princess of China but you WILL still enjoy the album. YOU WILL! Just skip this one. Its just one fucking song. Do you have any idea how much pressure they're under from the record label to produce at least one song that appeases the 14 year olds who fill their shows?!

The melody is extremely good. So is Chris's voice and Jonny's riff of course and its all ruined by the fact that its EDM. Why not do it how they've always done with Will on the drums. I hope people don't see this as the new Coldplay. No worries though the rest of the album is superb. This is the only song I may skip.

I'm glad the band I fell in love with is back. After the disappointment that was MX I know this album will blow me away.

Always In My Head
One of the top songs on the album; and along with Politik and Square One, their best opener.

I absolutely loved the interview and the songs we got to hear but I felt really uncomfortable throughout for some reason. I'm not used to Chris being like this.
