Are you seriously suggesting A Rush of Blood to the Head is a weak title?!!

I think if you mixed Paradise and ASFOS you'll get LP7. It's not going to be anything remotely similar to A Rush of Blood The Head.

Trust me he'll be back with more "insider info" and people will still believe him. I think its their weakest title yet. Very uninspiring and clichéd. But at least it indicates exactly what the album will sound like.

I wonder how more interesting the song would have been if they utilized more of their parts into the song and released it closer to their own Coldplay version. Because as it is now I consider it to be an avicii song with Chris doing the vocals.

It's blatantly not Coldplay. I don't understand how someone would think it is. Just another youtube user being a moron.

Unfortunately I can't listen to music everyday which is terrible. As a result I've become very selective in what I listen to. But when I get the chance its either Coldplay, Pink Floyd or Ludovico Einaudi along with anyone I've discovered or just gotten into.

Well a lot of people and myself included will be happy if the next album sounded like Ghost Story. I'm certain they're aware of the ubiquitously positive reaction to the song so maybe there is hope!

What a truly epic video for what I believe is the best song from this era and of their greatest. I can't contain my excitement :D

What great news! This has the potential to be one of their greatest songs yet because of what the movie is about. I'm really hyped up for this.

All great points guys :thumbsup: I also think they need to drastically change their approach to making music. The formula needs to change. Chris has always been the prominent contributor in that he comes in with an entire song that is pretty much ready and the rest of the band just put their own layers over it. A slight change occurred during Viva but it didn't alter the dynamics within the band. Coldplay could explore such great arenas if Chris wasn't so dominant in the process. And they absolutely SHOULD listen to what the fans think about their music. They wouldn't be here if not for the support of all the people who got into their music with Parachutes and AROBTTH. I personally find the whole 'we don't give a damn what anyone thinks' attitude worrying. Not giving a damn what anyone thinks is a great cause for mediocrity. The fact that you think you no longer have to prove yourself is very destructive.

I'm extremely excited about this. The moment I read about All Your Friends and Ghost Story I jumped! Also, the album packaging and overall visuals for this album was superb and I'm sure this set will add to that.

While I adore this amazing song I kind of hope this isn't true. And the main reason is the music videos that accompany their singles. They're getting more and more dreadful. They just ruin the songs for me :\

Jonny's solo at the end is an exact blatant copy of Comfortably Numb. He hasn't even bothered to change it slightly. I'm glad not many people have realized this though otherwise we'd have another Joe you-know-who on our hands ;)

Same here :thumbsup: I'm just glad they're back in the studio making music. As I've said many times on here I think they need to prolong their writing process and the gap between albums to more than three years. I also believe a hiatus is long overdue with this band. It certainly wouldn't hurt to just step back for a while and reflect on what they have and haven't been able to achieve.

Love the album cover. This record is probably up there with The Unforgettable Fire and Achtung Baby as one of their best to date. I've been listening to it everyday and just can't get enough. The lyrics are mesmerizing as well! Its a shame entire generations have grown up not listening or discovering great music. They get a free U2 album but can't even be bothered to listen through the whole thing. They'd rather watch Nicki Minaj stick a anaconda up her bottom.
