Absolutely devastating news and i'm really saddened. Although I must say from the very beginning I always expected this all along. I just feel really worried for Chris and hope it doesn't affect the band's music. Extremely bad timing since the album is released in less than two months. Lets all pray Chris pull through this.

I would love it if that was the case. Their live shows back then were a lot more intimate and emotional. In my opinion anyway I don't want to cause any offense!

Chris is actually an expert in writing extremely good lyrics. I'm sensing what we hear on GS is intended to be simple.

Excitement level is through the roof! Certainly a lot more than MX simply because I like the new direction and the simplicity of it. Plus the songs are fucking amazing!

Well I've come to the conclusion they had nothing to do with it. I can't imagine Will ever agreeing to this. Its purely an individual decision and his motives very unclear!

I don't get why they chose such a terrible platform to reveal the bonus tracks (People Magazine!!!). Why not do it in Q or Rolling Stone? I hope the tracks will be available for other parts of the world too.

Well first it was x idol and american factor and now this. Plus the whole MX thing. You need to understand why some of us get pissed off at these things. They seem to be abandoning the very principles they stood for. Things that attracted a lot of people to them in their earlier years. I get the impression people here think Coldplay only ever existed after VLV!

Well what a clusterfuck! This is exactly the sort of thing I was hoping the band (and Chris in particular) would distance themselves from forever. Britians got celebrities or whatever was already bad enough but now this!

Too right! Plus I'm loving the whole rush of blood and parachutes vibe. Already a million times more excited for this than I was for MX. Coldplay isn't just VLV and MX I'm afraid.

Finally two songs entirely reminiscent of AROBTTH! Another's Arms comes out on top for me. The music is enough to forgive the terrible lyrics.

I think we have to wait to hear the album version, but I really like it! Reminds me of the old old Coldplay. Remember people not every album opener needs to imitate Politik and HLH in terms of scale and sound.
