  1. yeah i can see where ur comin from. its still the best song so far though imho.
  2. i dont even think its tinkered with too much. they just made a huge mistake by not releasing it before playin it live
  3. i'm delighted with all your opinions. at last the song is receiving some recognition :)
  4. lol i thought the same after a few listens but im hoping something magical will come out the studio version
  5. ...and not even regarded in the same light as all the other songs? it's clearly the truest Coldplay song of this era along with Moving to Mars but it seems no one cares about it!! honestly as much as i hate para-para and wa-wa i think MM is fantabulistic!! it just reminds me of their older stuff which is what i want really but also i reckon along with Moving to Mars they're two genius tracks which made me not lose my hope on the band
  6. very well put. i've learned to lower my expectations after hearing their recent stuff from MX so compared to all the rest of 'em except for Major Minus and Charlie this is much better, although of course no where near their potential

yeah i highly doubt there'll be an LP6. at least for quite some time maybe 4 or 5 years. it all depends on the reception MX receives. but they HAVE to go back to basics and what made them coldplay in the first place or i'd be too disappointed
  8. wow great post! i salute you. (btw kasabian are fuckin awsomeeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

well i've got over it already since this is what everyone wants; to "get over it"! but this album is like a title decider at the end of a league. their future is dictated by how they perform. no doubt it'll be a huge hit with millions, just like lady gaga's albums are. whether its going to be worthy enough of our listening time is another thing
  11. okay so i've had the song on my player, playing non-stop for two days, praying to god, forcing myself to like it and searching for something interesting and i'm sorry but i'm incomprehensibly disappointed and annoyed. i expressed my rage yesterday a few hours after the release but i thought maybe i'm wrong, maybe i've lost my senses. cuz a lot of people here think if u have the slightest of criticism for the band ur a disgrace to humanity. but no. and a big capital NO. i certainly haven't lost my mind. because right after listening to para-para and ETIAW for hours and hours i paused for a moment, played warning sign, then spies, then fix you, then 42 and i thought well hold on a second i still believe these song are remarkably brilliant and i still love them and so does the rest of the world so no there aint anything wrong with me for sure. i've watched this band grow as i have and i always say viva was as far an evolution as they should have perused. anything beyond that and your coldplay equation is either missing something or producing the wrong results. and by the way this is my longest post ever about coldplay in 10 years and certainly on colpldaying. i usually dont have time to come on here and post very often but now i feel the need to somehow! anyway my rant is over and you can shoot me for it
  12. haha nooooo i would never say such horrible things about my fellow coldplayers. sorry im just a bit enraged at the moment. i understand your point completely and respect your opinion. but i know i cant sit this one out because i may never come back to them and also i feel the need for them to hear our cries. not that they're going to, OBVIOUSLY, as if chris is sitting behind his laptop reading this right now (hes learnt not to give a damn anyway it seems) but the criticism received from their core fans might just have an effect
  13. seriously though I've been a die-hard fan of theirs since the beginning and as someone said earlier if you'd told me 10 years ago this is what they'll come up some time in the future I would have never believed it for a second. lets not f***ing kid ourselves cuz we know damn well what they're capable of achieving and my irritation is caused exactly by this. and anyone saying we should get over it and get used to their interpretation of "evolution" is either clearly deluded or not in the right mental state. really pissed off
  14. hahaha brilliant! this made my day. something tells me we're in for yet more ooooohs in their upcoming work though by this rate!
  15. the best post on para-para-para by a mile. I sincerely congratulate you on your fine assessment :)
  16. ahh I was waiting for a thread like this for ageeeees! to be honest nowadays I spend most of my time listening to their b-sided than anything else. I mean you just consider the sheer brilliance of I Ran Away. every time I listen to it I get goosebumps. GOD I LOVE THE OLD COLPLDAY :) btw 1.36, sleeping sun, crests of waves... are all superb too
  17. great post agree with it all :)
  18. brillianttt interview! I really don't understand Chris though. Why does he have to make such a big deal about Gwyneth?!
  19. nvdmm replied to iPsy's topic in Coldplay

guys aren't you disappointed that Major Minus will only be a b-side with ETIAW?! I mean its their best track out of all the new stuff we've heard so far. it wont even be included in the album now:cry: I'm depressed!
  22. i think out of all the new stuff we've heard so far, Major Minus is the best track by a MILEEEE. and it totally reminds me of AROBTTH. but today they announced the song will be a B-side to ETIAW when its released on 26th June. this news has certainly made me depressed. i cannot believe such a brilliant song is considered a B-side. what do you guys think then? will it even have a slight chance of being on the album.
  23. you've misunderstood my point. i never said bands shouldn't shift in to a different direction, but rather stay true to what made them Coldplay or U2 etc in the first place. thats what U2 have done of course they've always been evolving and changing directions but as our friend said they maintained what makes them U2. and no my friend i have "clearly" listened to 35 years worth of U2 ;) as with Coldplay i think they changed so drastically i cant recognize them as the same band. but thats NOT the problem. i have no issue with them changing, rather the quality of music they produce. i mean just listen to a rush (the song) and then ETIAW. you get my point. for me VLV was no where near as good as AROBTTH not because it was so different but because i felt something was compromised and that was quality. anyway this is all personal opinion so.....
  24. well thats where i have doubts you see. the core of what makes them Coldplay was evident on their first three albums, but gradually faded away. you dont have to dramatically change in order to maintain your success. U2 have done it for 35 years and they're still the best and biggest band in the world
  25. exactly my thoughts and i appreciate your honesty:)
