if you admire this album so much etc and think that parachutes is boring, fine its your opinion! but please for the love of god admit from a musical point of view, nothing from this new era can even come close to what they achieved with parachutes and AROBTH. im sick of people rating MX higher than those two and viva! you cant fool yourself!! and i reckon every critic out there would agree. keep an eye out for coldplay ft. pitbull by the way

well never saw this coming a few years ago. the video doesn't suck obviously but you see, if katy perry or wanted direction or whatever they're called had released it, you'd just watch it and go "yeah that was alright i quite liked it". and there lies the problem. of course we don't mind the repetitive making outs and all the silly raving, if rihana has it on her videos its fine and people do actually enjoy it. but in a coldplay video. god its shocking! it amuses me that i keep thinkin the boys cannot possibly disappoint me more and here we are!!

don't understand how someone could possibly rate individual songs on MX or the album as a whole higher than AROBTTH! i love the boys and their work to bits but the amount of undeserved credit MX is receiving is driving me mental. i dont have anything against people who love MX and prefer it to their other work but pleaaase DONT SAY ITS BETTER THAN AROBTTH.

i certainly hope they don't win any and they wont. every other song on those nomination lists are better than what they've come up with. i'm super pleased for adele plus mumford & sons though. they're finally getting the recognition they deserve.

yeah up in flames is definitely their worst song to date. least sophisticated rock song i've ever heard. and as for eno, he wont be around for LP6. im sure of it

thats exactly how i feel and it has nothing to do with my mood. i find myself listening to AROBTH and VLV over and over and over again everyday but bizarrely dont bother with MX!!! even though its just been released

brilliant post. there are a few moments here and there throughout the album which made me anticipate for some greatness (on my first listen) but it never came. it was like watchin a movie where they build up the tension and excitement and then nothing happens or they skip right through to the aftermath. very disappointing. plus theres some truly tedious songs that i just cant listen to. i was playin POC yesterday and i thought what the #$@* were they thinkin. im kinda glad though cuz i now know not to expect anything special from coldplay anymore cuz then i'd be more nicely surprised if they came up with a masterpiece of some sort. dont wanna sound like a jackass but i really hope they dont win any grammys for this. most probably wont

lolllll i'm just teasing you guys being rude is the last thing on my agenda. annoying yes but not rude ;) joking aside i'm really staggered many people think this is their best work yet. most fans and world critics would admit AROBTTH was not only their best work but a masterpiece in the history of music and will never be forgotten. lets face it people will still be listening to clocks, a rush, scientist, politik warning sign etc in 10-15 years but paradise, tear? i doubt so. i'll eat my hat if this album gets any grammys. MAYBE one in the best pop song category for para para. but i wholeheartedly respect your opinion about MX and am in no position to judge so accept my apologies if i offended anyone.

yeah exactly it would make for a brilliant setlist if they include a couple of the older songs like politik. it would go well with MM and MTM. they certainly need to interchange some songs on their current setlist cuz they've been playing the same repetitive stuff for too long
