  1. Yeah ... some people here say we just have to let them do this, because they are doing it for themselves, but honestly, I don't think they are making their own kind of music. It just seems so specifically aimed at a large mainstream audience, that it is hard to believe that this was really something that came from their hearts, that this is really the music they have in mind.
  2. You missed the point though, it's not about the change, is about how they changed. If they had changed for the better, then fine, but this is clearly a change for the worst. You might still like it, you might even love it, but if you see where they came from, you can hardly say that this was a good change.
  3. A little bit exaggerated, but I think if they continue like this, I wouldn't even be surprised anymore at some point. :P And cheers to the thread creator!
  4. You have no idea if this music was in their minds and hearts, that is pure speculation. You think just because this is your favourite band and you love them, you have to accept everything they release, because it was what they had in their hearts? For me imagining that this music came from their hearts feels like they've lost their heart and their soul. That is something I cannot accept, so I'd rather say that they are trying to appeal to a bigger audience and simply are selling out. It's a logical conclusion.
  5. Uhm, following you're logic you should just leave and stop reading negative comments if you don't like them. You're too quick to think that people are just complaining because they don't have a grip. Maybe you should get a grip and read some of the comments more carefully to understand where the frustration is coming from. Every fan has a right to express his opinion, positive and negative.
  6. I can't even be bothered to listen to his a second time at the moment ... don't know if this is a serious opinion though. :P
  7. Oh well, with that statement you just proved that you can't be a real Coldplay fan. If you were, you'd be able to criticise them. Criticism is a way to improve. And please stop telling people to stop posting on this website, that is not up to you to decide. Thank you.
  8. That goes both ways though. If you automatically scream HATER at everyone who dares to criticise, then you're no better than those who criticise unconstructively. What's with the MX lovers? There's always going to be people who will not like something, they have a right to express their opinion and as much as you as a fan have the right to simply post "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!" they have a right as a fan to post "THIS IS CRAP, I HATE IT!".
  9. The word is childish ... and yeah, I'm out of here now, because that is exactly what you are, my dear.
  10. Then why are you wasting your time trying to convince each and everyone of how great this song is?! That is exactly what you are doing. The reason why I confront you is because I'm a stubborn person and sometimes I have problems keeping my mouth shut although I shouldn't waste my time, but your attitude is quite simply arrogant and know-it-all, not your opinion, your ATTITUDE. Think about that for a change. Now I'm out of this thread.
  11. I don't know why I even bother, but if you can give me one good reason why this song as a whole is a good musical arrangement other than your "It's up-beat and good for the summer", then we'll talk again. Coldplay is not the Beatles though, that's what you're forgetting.
  12. The reason it has so many haters is, because it is musically a bad song. There hardly is any artistical merit to this song.
  13. In an attempt to keep this section at least a little bit organised, I merged the existing threads.

You are how old? 30? 35? Judging by statistics on the average lifespan of a woman in Europe, you have about 50 years ahead of you. So stop whining and get out there (and preferably out of here).
  15. Hi Greg! Welcome back! :surprised: And hello all, my name is really Imke. :nice:
  16. Boo, sorry to hear that, Carrie. But maybe another time.
  17. It sounds like asswhore rather than asshole
  18. I don't even know what Labor's Day is, go me!
  19. What the fuck ... I'm having problems understanding people who are having a picture of their mother tattoed on their body, but a person you don't really know at all, what the heck, that's just insane.
  20. There's no way they'd dig out the Nappies in the first place. It was a one-time joke ... why the heck would the make something like that serious and put it on an album?!
  21. ^ Is that supposed to be a rap?
  22. Congrats! :lips:
  23. I think not even someone who could read Lory's mind would be able to understand all this.

    Happy happy birthday! :lips:
