  1. That's a god damn lie, I know for a fact that Jonny personally sews every zipper onto every jacket and Chris inpects them for zipper strength, quality and smoothness. Seriously though dude, just return it for a new one. It's impossible for them supply quality everytime, shit happens y'know.
  2. Pfft, being free of the EMI contract will only be a good thing. They've got enough money that they could finance their own album and be completely free of any bullshit corporate influences.
  3. I hope Chris realises that these people will use him to legitamise their place in the recording business. Leona Lewis is an instrument not a musician, great voice, zero substance.
  4. Definately getting this, I'm really surprised it's taken him this long to find a publisher. I though they'd have been begging Matt for a chance to publish this....I know it won't be a best seller, but it'll sell a LOT better than 80% of the shit out there.
  5. Yeah I have to agree with the posters here, you do have to work at understanding Radiohead, but once you get them you can't stop listening. Personally I'd perscribe 4 or 5 listens of OK Computer and/or In Rainbows, after that you can go onto discover the rest. Honestly though, Kid A is a bit much to take on board straight up, it's a little too weird if you don't get the angle they're coming from. But the biggest Coldplay band that isn't coldplay is Keane, they've got some decent tunes but it's still a bit naff.
  6. I know they did asia right after australia last time, so I wouldn't be suprised.
  7. Really when you think about it, it's about a guy who crashes his car, goes for a little walk into town and has a nap.
  8. Can somebody host it somewhere? Proxy avoidance sites are blocked on my work connection.
  9. Yeah I've always seen The Scientist as a regretful break-up song. Like when you know a relationship isn't going to work but you feel fucking horrible about that person not being in your life anymore.
  10. Yeah, I've got a live track somewhere of pour me at the hollywood bowl. I never really liked the song all that much though. Actually isn't pour me somewhere on the Singles Vinyl set.
  11. Life in Technicolor = Ding dah de nah De nah nah nah De nah nah nah Honestly I can't think of any others that you guys haven't covered, but my memory is pretty horrible.
  12. If there were a meter for measuring homoerotic innuendo it wouldn't be able to cope with the dangerous levels found in this thread.
  13. Glass of Water....but Politik is always hanging around waiting to take the title back.
  14. Will's dad is considered by some to be the Michael Jackson of archaeology.
  15. When you're 32 years old and your posting on a fan forum when you should've be doing something constructive with your life 5 years ago.
  16. 8 Help is around the corner (shit, I fucked up, there's no "just" in it, it's on the yellow single, great little track)
  17. Welcome! :) 3 times eh? Being in britain certainly must have it's advantages. I've been a fan since 2000 and have only been able to see them once. :(
  18. Congrats guys, glad you got a show.
  19. Really? I got mine on the 8th of December.....did you opt for registered post?
  20. Man, how do you guys find the time to digest all this music? I sit on an album for about a month before I feel I've fully appreciated it and can move on.
  21. I'm of two minds about this, sometimes a show gets recorded that is just special for one reason or another and I think it'd be a shame to miss that. However, recording it as a travel documentary with a song from a show in between would be fairly cool. Y'know insight in the daily lives of the band and crew on tour....that'd be pretty awsome. I know they did a documentary on the Live 2003 DVD but it was pretty short and didn't really cover much.
  22. Not a photo or a video and you've probably all heard it but I still think this is one of the best (or at least most insightfull) interviews Chris has ever done. During the July 2006 tour of Australia. Right Click and Save As for happy funtime listening experiences
  23. Personally I think Corgan was generalising, there are still an awful lot of people who look at an album as a piece of art, a snapshot of the band at that point in time. A singles band is quite possibly one of the most artistically corrupt ideas i've heard in a long time. Coldplay are already at risk of being too commercial, they're size makes them easy targets, but becoming a singles band would just be too much for most.
