No broadcast of Amazing Day? :(

I adore the lyrics to this song! It truly epitomises Chris´journey into the acceptance of all things in life, good or bad and its motto: never give up. My stand-out lines and what they mean to me: "Emptying out the ocean with a spoon, up and up" I mean can you get more hopeful and dedicated than this? Even if the task is gargantuan , there is the spirit to always go on. "Fixing up the car and driving it again" " Searching for the water hoping for the rain" Obvious metaphor for: whatever happens, always get back on the horse and again never give up, always keep searching, walking towards your goal "Lying in the gutter Aiming at the moon" This totally recalls "sometimes stars decide to reflect in puddles in the dirt". No matter where you are, even the gutter, there is the reflection there and hope to aim for the stars/moon. "Sitting with the poison takes away the pain" Thats just beautiful and it encapsulates the idea of alchemizing Chris mentions in the interviews. By not rejecting, by not resisting the unpleasant experiences in our life, by "sitting with them" we can witness them transform in something good, from pain to the insight of the gift hidden within each painful experience. "See a bird form a diamond in the rough, see a bird soaring above the flood, its in your blood" This to me hints to the what lies inherently in all of us. Its in our blood to soar above challenges, to "get it together and flower". Its more than a hope, its our destiny, its in our blood. The diamond in the rough is hidden within all of us, its already there, just waiting to be discovered. This also greatly connects with "Under this pressure, under this weight , we are diamonds taking shape". To me the message is: life is tough, but its filled with opportunities for us to get better and better, to grow and discover our full potential. Hence everything that comes to us can be embraced as an opportunity "Angels in the marble waiting to be freed, just need to love" This is pretty clear. There is something amazing in each of us and in all things, we just need love and perseverance to uncover it. Just such a gorgeous song! I cant remember better lyrics from Chris. This song always moves me in its simplicity and yet its nuanced timeless message which lets face it we always need to hear.

This has become my favourite Coldplay single ever. It´s just perfect: amazing lyrics at once simple and profound, a LOT of Jonny (he is practically the track, Chris is background sound lol), a pounding Will and engaged Guy and it´s just such a happy happy track. It´s simply irresistibly infectious! Also pristine production: kudos to Stargate

I love this song and I must admit I only own one Beyoncé song, so it´s not like I am a fan hehe She does a wonderful job on this track playing the part of the "angel". No denying her wonderful talent! The lyrics are again at once nuanced and direct, a combination Chris manages to pull off each time on the tracks we´ve heard so far. And finally an R&B song I like...I had to wait for Coldplay to write it *lol*

Yeah the artwork is a big reason to get the vinyl. The sound and mixing is different too of course. It´s nice to have the album in all versions ultimately hehe Though the vinyl usually includes a high def download card, which will be better than the iTunes version I gather, so it´s a good purchase value-wise.

Which I guess makes me a VERY old school vinyl guy *lol* Like all other Coldplay releases I´ll get this in all formats eventually :)

Wondering what format you guys opted for the album? I´ll get it on vinyl tomorrow, which also includes a download card. Later on, I´ll get the CD and slip in my own custom-made cover :)

So news songs to be played in a little over an hour are: AOAL, AHFOD, Amazing Day, and Everglow, if I read correctly. I look forward to the interviews. I remember the iHeart party from Ghost Stories: it was short but pretty good!

Doesn't surprise me. It was the live debut and it was only heard during a couple bbc shows if I am not mistaken. I am sure it will get a sing along too as they start playing the new songs :)

Oh yes the Facebook stream I also look forward to! But its at 4:30 pm CET if I am not mistaken, which means 7:30 am my time. Bit early, but it may fit quite well with my having to rush to Barnes at 9 am to pick up the vinyl hehe Ahhh Coldplayers are so busy these days :)

Ok I am getting a bit confused with all the different live appearances, broadcasted and non. Luxury problem for a Coldplayer to try and keep track of the too many live concerts all of a sudden haha

I did not know we already knew the setlist? I thought the description was "exclusive performance and interview" ?

So the release party, will they play some new songs and some old songs? Or will they play the whole album from start to finish?

So concert in London in the morning and now the release party in less than 3 hours. A perfect day to stay home! :)

Thats one hell of a start! hehe I have a few vinyls myself and bought more recently. Latest Lana Del Rey was gorgeous looking and I particularly love my picture discs like Midnight and Hurts Like Heaven :)

Time to buy new vinyls :D

LOL Maybe we can revive it? I can see the last post before mine was ages ago? I am also a huge vinyl fan and recently got into vinyl. Cant wait to get my hands on the gorgeous 2-LP blue and pink tomorrow :D
