  1. Weren't they in Germany recently as guests of The Voice TV show?
  2. My thought exactly. Im sure she asked some new questions :) Cant wait to hear it/see it! It´d be super cool if there was like a poll where we could all choose what questions to ask or a reddit for Coldplaying hehe :)
  3. The first thing I saw was the Christmas cookie man on the table *LOL* Then I realised oh well wait it might be an exclusive interview :)
  4. Yes, Episode I was my introduction to star wars as well. And so many kids have been introduced to the saga during the prequels and so many people im sure love them and still do, yet they are not heard online and thats just very sad for the artist imo. Unfortunately the internet does not often show how much people like something, but more often what people dont like and for some strange reason people feel free to throw plenty of vitriol and harsh remarks online , stuff they would never in a million years tell to someone´s (or the artist´s) face. I just hope people one day will remember the power of their words and their tone online as much as offline because it does have consequences.
  5. Just some musings I wanted to share: Just read about what mostly made Lucas sell Star Wars: the internet. All the backlash he read online made making movies not attractive to him anymore (and boy did he receive backlash). I knew he wanted to retire, but I had no idea the internet continous moaning and complaining and vitriol towards him had such a big say in his decision. This really saddens me because he´s the man who brought us amazing creations like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I did enjoy the Force Awakens a lot but I wud be kidding myself if I´d say its not mostly a remake of the OT...resting on Lucas ideas and story. Im just thinking its truly sad George did not get more feedback from the other side: the many millions of people who did enjoy and do enjoy his work, prequels included. Most people who enjoy something dont go online to talk about it for hours, but if you're unhappy about something you are much more likely to vent out your frustrations by sharing it with others. This imo gives a much askew feedback to the artist, with the added sad bonus that internet backlash tends to have a snowball effect, so more people get put off from seeing the movies. Kinda shocking to be confronted with how much power our seemingly innocent words have and how they reach and impact an artist. Personally I love the internet and the sharing of ideas, and its nice for artists to get feedback from fans and have a closer relationship, but im afraid sometimes we are really taking things too far. Its imo never a fan´s right to decide what the artist should do or which direction he should take, and its baffling to me that a lot of Star Wars fans blame Lucas for essentially not making Star Wars as they wanted...well if you wanna make something, go out and make it, dont blame others for not creating it for you. This is not to say Lucas prequels did not have a lot of things I did not like, there is and always should be a place for saying "i dont like this, id have preferred something else", but the vitriol against him was imo very unfair and im very sad to hear that was the main cause he just gave up. Ironically now that the fans who complained for years to get a OT v2 did get The Force Awakens, some are not too happy because its not original. An artist should really never do anything according to what people want (which would completely invalidate the idea of an artist btw), also cuz even people dont know what they want at the end of the day. You give them B, they want A, you give them back A, they miss B. I truly hope other artists of any field dont end up like Lucas, but continue creating for everyone, especially those who love their work and are not so loud on the internet comments.
  6. I dont feel the album lacks emotions, but I dont feel it was made as a poignant deep piece of work either. I feel it was made in the spirit of and to convey fun, joy and positivity. I see it as a celebration with balloons and people dancing, while reflecting on the past and everything that led to said celebration :)
  7. Yes, thats what I mentioned in my post as well. That Stargate wanted to hear the songs before saying whether they wanted the job as producers or not. They showed them the demos or some demos before they decided to get on board. Thats not unusual to me, as Stargate comes from a different music world than Coldplay, they probably wanted to hear some songs before deciding whether they could be fit as and wanted to be producers to the album. How does this in any way translate to Stargate, as I think it was hinted somewhere here, vetoed songs, set ultimatums or decided how the songs were gonna sound? That sounds just, well, crazy to me :) Obviously they did not. Coldplay chose the demos they wanted, put the songs they wanted on the album, gave them to Stargate for "tinkering", listened back at the result and approved or not (as we hear from Will and Guy interview). Coldplay hired Stargate, not the other way around *lol* I´d say if anyone doesn't like the sound of the album or doesn't like the songs on it, then the "blame" is squarely to be put on Coldplay´s shoulders and I see no reason or information we have so far that would justify putting it on anyone else´s.
  8. I believe there are a couple of threads about that :)
  9. Probably true, cuz when you listen to something having other songs in mind, you kinda end up expecting something similar or have specific expectations and then you perhaps conclude its not good because it doesn't meet those expectations. But without preconceptions you´re free to just listen and enjoy. :) I´ve never compared to anything while listening so I wud not personally know, but I think you have a good point :)
  10. Not getting all this about Stargate...the only thing I read was that they wanted to hear the songs before committing cuz they wanted to know if it was something they wanted to work on. So not sure what the ultimatum is that is talked about here, unless Im missing some official info. Clearly the songs on the album are the songs Coldplay wanted to put on the album...to me its really not more complicated than that. As for Moving to Mars, I truly love that song! But I can see how it may not flow very well with the rest of MX as it was put together, though I seem to remember it was close to being included.
  11. Its The Santa Clause yes! :) And Disney would be pleased you like the Avengers as they own Marvel hehe
  12. The only one I watched and own all the episodes is Smallville. Otherwise I find my superheroes in comics or movies hehe p.s. today I saw both the new Captain America and new Superman vs Batman trailers in the cinema. Looked real good on the imax screen :)
  13. Little girl: "You´re supposed to drink some milk" Santa: "I am lactose intolerant" *lol* Funny movie :) Alisbe: you in the US too? :)
  14. Really enjoying ABC Family Christmas movies. I had never seen Elf or The Santa Claus before :)
  15. So great to have a mum who is a fan too! Mine is as well :) And congrats with that title, though I must admit I dont know what it is other than it sounds really nice ! hehe :)
  16. Hey cool! :) Nice to get surprised like that.
  17. Look forward to getting the CD so I can slip in the custom cover :) Anyone has done it here yet? :)
  18. Its an excellent movie! I certainly expected it to have the OT "feel", but I was surprised at just how much they borrowed from the OT story. Imo too much for it to stand alone. It works great as an homage to the OT though and an introduction to future original stories I expect :) But as far as movie quality, its really good.
  19. Star Wars "The Force Awakens" - 8.5/10 Truly a treat! Marvellously done through and through. Only slight disappointment was that imo it relied too heavily/borrowed too much from OT storylines. Next time I´d like to see something more original story-wise. But other than that I loved it all: so exciting and near perfect in all its aspects. Well done JJ!
  20. Uh? What surprise is this? :)
  21. John Grisham Rogue Lawyer Nothing better than feet up, a pepperoni pizza, some root beer, ice cream and a nice legal thriller romp :)
  22. Only one day left :)
  23. Depends what that "whatever" is I guess haha :)

I still think the second one has that bending of the note which is basically the trademark of Oasis guitar solos...thats what still makes me think it´s Jonny playing Noel. I hope he joins them live sometimes and puts our wondering to rest haha :)
  25. I dont think I missed your point. I picked Taylor Swift out of complete randomness, I could have picked the Beatles or a fan forum for Harley Davidson, didn't matter...my point was that in a fan forum the majority will be positive towards the artist or the thing they like, so I would never expect a majority of heavy criticism or division in a fan forum, in a general forum yes but not in a fan forum. That was my point. My mentioning Taylor had nothing to do with the music.
